The park felt dirty and hard to get to. Loved the view of lady liberty from here. It looked like they were trying to update it. The toll was $1 each way.

As you drive up to this park, you can't help to notice lady liberty. Took my brother and his family here last visit for a day trip. What a good time. It was hot...bring water. A wonder stroll along the water front, getting great views of ms liberty and ellis island. Next time would bring our bikes...would be a great ride

Very nice family park with a long walking path along the Hudson. Great views of the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline. Lots of park benches along the path to sit and enjoy the view. However, not a single vendor along the 3 mile path was seen. With so many people joggiing, walking and riding bike, it would have been nice to have a couple of vendors selling ice cream, sodas and especially water along the way. Surprised that there weren't even drinking fountains on the path. Make sure to check out the 9/11 Memorial. Very moving experience.

If you are planning a relaxed vacation to New York City then you should plan one evening to relax in this peaceful park close to New York and Jersey city. The easiest way to reach here is hudson burgen light rail which will take you close to this park or just get off here after your visit to statue of liberty. You can get panoramic view of NYC downtown from here. If you are visiting in mornings then you can also see imax movie in dome theatre of liberty science center.

Went there as our teenagers had noticed the bike and roll tour, a short ferry trip 7 $ per head run every 30 minutes on the hudson river walking distance from the 9/11 memorial via Vesey street and you reach liberty landing, unfortunately they had very little number of bikes (4) and we could not rent there to our size, also had segways but only for guided tours, we walked the 2.6 miles to the south end where the view on the back of liberty island is very nice and were able to rent bikes for the return, stopped along the way, very quiet and peaceful, few people, families and some runners, see to be some kind of week end break location very quiet during the week, there is a restaurant with outdoor dining and barbecue spots that must be onderful at night but the staff was very lasy...

The view on the skyline is the must, you cannt be bored by such a view, really great!
