“Poor quality at a price”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

Thought I would give this another try, but this meal really missed the mark. I was hoping for something better but... I had the "green" omelet, with spinach and asparagus. It came with home fries that were THE worst I have ever had. And the eggs were way too undercooked. Runny egg whites are not very appetizing. The only welcome part was the addition of 2 mini corn muffins on my toast plate.

Enseno -- did you mention anything to us while you were here? We would've been happy to get things right for you. We hold ourselves to a high standard, and really hate to think that you were anything but satisfied with your omelet and eggs. It would be great to have the chance to redeem ourselves in the future.

All the best,

“Good value”

We have family who live in this area of New Jersey and have eaten at the Jefferson Diner on several occasions. The food is good-- we always eat breakfast. The desserts look superb!

“Average sums it up.”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

We saw Jefferson Diner on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” and thought it would be a good place for breakfast since breakfast is usually a safe choice. As diners go, the service was efficient and friendly in the sense that East German border guards were known for their efficiency with a smile. I wasn't wowed by the atmosphere. There wasn't much authentic about the old-school diner motif. The food was good, certainly better than average, but there wasn’t anything extraordinary about our meals to differentiate this place from the 10000 or so other restaurants serving breakfast in the state of New Jersey. I had seven grain French toast and my wife had Oreo pancakes. The menu had a few other out of the ordinary breakfast options, but nothing I couldn't replicate at home. Our orders were served very quickly. The lunch and dinner menus looked huge, as in a lot of choices. We would have gotten a slice or two of their cakes “to go” if our circumstances allowed. If I’m in the area again, I might be amenable to another visit for lunch or dinner.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. It sounds like we have a little more room to impress, so we'd love to welcome you back to our place. Our Greek moussaka, spinach pie, and lobster bisque (which is served on weekends), are some favorites around here. It'd be great to hear what you think of these.

Hope to see you and your wife sometime soon!

“Gotta love a Dinner”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

I honestly could not say that the food at this dinner is any better then any other dinner in the great state of New Jersey, but if looks count then this one is a cut above. Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning and got right in. Food came out fast and hot. Good service. This dinner has been featured on the food network and they make sure you know it. Even has an old Camaro out front

“Fantastic, accidental find!”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

Stopped here on our way to the Poconos. The atmosphere is wonderful. 50's style decor. Old cars. The wait staff is spot on. The food comes out quick, hot and delicious. We had breakfast, they give you a bonus little muffin! On the way out I almost bought a cookie.[too hot out, would have melted] It was as big as a personal pan pizza! I have to go back and get one!! Go and enjoy a meal.
