“A TRULY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE IN AN EXCEPTIONAL RESTAURANT”

A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE IN AN EXCEPTIONAL RESTAURANT

We shared a wonderful meal with long-time friends in this small, elegant restaurant, an evening which clearly showed why Trip Advisor's contributors rate it #1 in Lambertville NJ, a chic town just across the Delaware River from New Hope, PA. Service was timely, attentive and properly friendly, menu choices wonderful, and the Prix Fixe more than fair. It’s a real shame New Jersey still has such archaic liquor laws, unreasonably limiting the number of places allowed to serve, or even sell wine and beer, although BYOB does allow diners like us to savor the offerings in really fine places like Brian's more frequently. Together we enjoyed ten different dishes (two of us ordered the same appetizer or main course); every one was excellent! BRAVO! An unforeseeable distraction demonstrated how a truly first-class establishment handles such things; an accurate indicator of excellent leadership and superb staff. Our only real issue: we live so far away! Brian and his staff are to be highly commended for their fine cuisine and exemplary service.

“Excellent Food”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday with dinner at Brian's. We were delighted to say the least. Every course provided such great depth of flavor that you can't help but sigh with pleasure at each first forkful of every course. Quite a bargain for 3 courses and the service was excellent as well. I would make it a priority to try this restaurant and would do it on a weekday evening to avoid crowds.

“Chef Owned, Intimate Space”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal recently at Brian's. The restaurant holds about 40 people. The menu during the week is three courses for $40. Lots of complex flavors and interesting menu choices. The restaurant is BYOW and they will gladly open the bottle for you. Service was professional and they accept reservations (in fact, you will need them).

“Very Good, Prix Fixe menu”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

Dinner was $45 ( $40 on week days), for three courses. My wife had the crab cakes and really enjoyed them, I had the beef with horseradish sauce and it was very good.
A minor complaint I had is that you had to order all three courses at the same time. I usually like to order my dessert after my entree because after the meal because I might want on something light, or maybe something a little more filling.
The restaurant is BYOB and only takes cash.

“Quaint, small, intimate, and good food”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

There have been different restaurants in the little location on the square. Very intimate. Very attentive. Good food. BYOB. But there is a liquor/sine store across the street. Soup was very good. On holds about 40 people. Service was very good. It should be rated number 1 in Lambertville. Menu was very simple or limited, but they had enough to make you wish you could have two. the Blue Berries in vanilla ice cream was very rich and wonderful.
