Good breakfast food on 2 occasions. Ate outside, sidewalk-style, first time, then inside at one of the varied styled tables - memories of my grandparents' tables and chairs. One of the Meg's (I'm guessing there are generations of them) was sprinkling salt on the floor to absorb any moisture, bringing to mind the lingering tentacles of Hurricane Sandy. You can't help wanting to come back to help out after what these folks - all our shore people - have been through.
We tried other nearby places and came back to Meg's.
And it's gotta be good - it's where the regulars go to enjoy the friendly, family feel. It'll be our "go to" for breakfast on future visits.

This is a little diner on the main street area of Lavallette - the service on a busy Sat morning was very adequate. The breakfasts are a bargain. If memory serves me, 2 eggs, toast and fruit cup (or potatoes) was $3.50. The coffee was even pretty good....not as strong as it could have been, but hot!

The food was excellent and the staff is extremely friendly and efficient. You get the beest value for your dollar. We've tried other places but we always go back to Meg's.

Went here for breakfast while on vacation, cute little place. The ladies working there were all so nice and everything looked so nice and clean. The food was good, I just had eggs, but the potatoes were so good. Lunch also sounded good, lots of yummy salads and sandwiches.

Great little lunchroom with local memorabilia decorating the walls, and friendly homey service. Eggs and sandwiches and burgers, and daily specials. Relax with a cup of Joe and enjoy some good eats.
