“Clean park in a good location”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

We have been to this beach park several times this year, it is clean and in a good location. It cost us $21 for 2 adults with a car. We are able to visit this park and then ride our bike along the Long Branch Promenade. We have been here when it was packed, we parked in the field area and setup our chairs at the far end of Joline Beach, where the surfers go. During peak season, the traffic from the Parkway is very congested, we found a very good back way from the Red Bank exit saved us a lot of time.

“clean and beautiful”

7 presidents park was great for day trip. $7 to park and $7 admission for adults. Kids under 14 are free (i think). There is a snack bar and clean restrooms and showers. Would definitely go again!

“Adequate...Yes, Just Adequate”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

If you read my review of Sandy Hook ("A Toilet With Sand"), you might know that I like ocean water, clean restrooms, and a clean beach. This beach had two of the three with the water quite nice, if the sand a bit rough (nothing you can do about that). Boogie boarding was the best (according to my son) here! Tip: if your kids do go boogie boarding, bring a little tube of antibiotic cream, because scratches are inevitable.

The beach itself is large and somewhat clean. As is typical for many NJ beaches, the clientele seem to think that No Smoking signs are just a suggestion. That's a damn shame, especially since this is a family-friendly beach ruined by the numbers of insensitive smokers who just don't abide by the rules and the fact that there's no beach patrol enforcing the No Smoking signs. The fee to get into this state park is modest and there is evidence, at least, that they try to keep the sand somewhat litter-free. It would be REALLY nice, however, if the rangers used some of the money we spent to get in here and enforced some of the rules.

The bathrooms were terrible a mere hour after the park opened. Tip: wear shoes when you go into the ladies room since I'm afraid many of my gender don't get the concept of peeing IN the toilet. The concession stand was ok. I've read other reviews that claim the personnel are rude and incompetent, but I did not have that experience.

For a day trip, this beach is tolerable. For better beaches, however, go further south in NJ.

“Perfect for Day with Family at the Beach”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park and Beach is a family-oriented public beach.

For $21 for your car and two adults on weekends during the summer through Labor Day, you get a clean beach, public changing room, toilets, outdoor shower, and lifeguards. Children 12 and under are free.

If you go regularly, a season beach pass is a better deal.

You can save the parking fee by parking outside the park and walking in.

Tobacco and booze are banned.

Clientele is mostly families.

I would judge Seven Presidents’ facilities cleaner and better maintained compared with NJ’s Island Beach State Park 40 miles further south.

Tip 1: Traveling from the North, you can also get to the park via Route 36 and avoid Eatontown congestion. Route 36 is slow, but it always moves.

Tip 2: Use a cart to bring your gear from the car to the beach. It’s a hike if you have to carry everything. We use a foldable Rio Beach Wonder Wheeler with wide wheels perfect for sand.

Tip 3: Watch your local speed. These shore towns need to raise a lot of revenue in only 3 months.
