“Lovely breakfast spot”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Had breakfast here - nice and varied menu, large selection, reasonable prices, excellent service, ok coffee, very pleasant atmosphere, across from the boardwalk, food was very good, generous portions, pleasant place to sit and talk - would gladly return.

“The BEST place to have breakfast!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Get up early to go see the sunrise at the seashore - that's really early - 3:45 to get to Long Branch for a 5:01 sunrise. Unfortunately the unpredicted fog put paid to that plan but we still had our breakfast as soon as Turning Point opened. This place hops - it was full as soon as the doors opened but the service was top notch and the food was more than excellent. Plentiful, beautifully presented and absolutely fantastic flavour. We've made it a summer tradition since 2009.

“Wonderful Atmosphere and Consistent Food”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Mostly known for its scrumptious breakfasts this restaurant and newsroom café is a cut above the usual. We have been coming here since they opened and have had many a memorable meal and good time here. The table we were ushered to already had water in a pitcher on the table and water glasses as well as silverware and napkins in place. We each had scrambled eggs with bacon, one with an English muffin and one with fresh fruit in a ramekin. They brought separate urns of coffee out for us so you don’t have to wait for refills. They also offer French press coffee with various types of coffee that is something special for many people who savor their coffee. The place has moderate pricing, ample portions, friendly and courteous service. For lunch they also have salads and sandwiches as well as many standards that you’re familiar with. There is a main dining area that also has a raised dining area in the middle with a white fence around it which may be better if you have kids. They have an additional adjoining area next to the main dining room for people to lounge, relax while they read newspapers and nosh in their café that has a snack and coffee bar. You may find waiting lines in the summer and on weekends that are a standard here. We find this to be the best of their chain of restaurants by far. We will be sending pictures of everything so you can see what we saw for yourself. Their meals here are always consistent and well prepared as well as ample. They have outdoor seating and a beautiful view of the mall shopping arcade, beach area and ocean. They are located in the busy eclectic Pier Village which has many curio shops of all kinds and has plenty of parking. They have many great menu selections and a varied array of healthy and fresh choices. They offer vegetarian and gluten free offerings and welcome children. They also have counter seating if you prefer. They have the best fresh fruit and often place some on each plate as a garnishment. If you are waiting or just want to kill some time, you may wander into their Newsroom Café to have a capochino or latte from the coffee bar and snack counter. They have current newspapers and other reading material in bookcases there for those dallying and fully enjoying their time there. The decor is fresh, clean and shore-like as you would expect at a beach location like this. The views out the windows is so calming to watch for me as the waves crash on the beach, bet the ocean waves will calm you and lower your blood pressure for sure. On the way out after our wonderful meal the front desk staff said, “Have a good day” as we exited the restaurant, a nice touch. We’ll be back when we’re in this area again because this place makes us feel happy and rejuvenated, this place never disappoints, try it.

“Not your typical breakfast place”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Having been a regular at the Turning Point for many years I can say I've never been disappointed. Outdoor seating is literally across the street from the beach, the staff is friendly and the food is always fresh and there are plenty of healthy options on the menu. Huevos Racheros is a great choice. Beware of the summertime weekend wait times though!

“Been going here for years, hope to keep going for many more!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

The best Turning Point of all of them, hands down. Just went for lunch and they have a wonderful new sandwich (Roadhouse Stacked) that will go on my regular rotation.
No matter how busy they are the staff is ALWAYS friendly. They may be hoofing it, but they don't miss a beat (unlike my experience at another very local Turning Point)
Additionally, the prices are reasonable for a place right at the beach.
As a local I love this Turning Point and always want to find places like it when I travel. Be aware that like many restaurants it gets crowded after church time on Sundays, and since it is at the shore (looking at the beach) it is also crowded on summer weekends. However, it is sooooo worth the wait.
