Ozzies Luncheonette first opened its doors in Longport in or around 1952. Always a "local" favorite in this beach town community. It has outlasted 4 major storms including "Sandy" and remains a great little gathering place with a '50s decor. I love the fabulous French Toast. Only negative is its a little pricey for the hometown crowd. "Shoobies" love it and don't mind paying the price.

While in Longport check out the Longport Historical Musuem. Award winning museum of old Longport and South Jersey artificacts, maps, books, etc in the old Coast Guard Station ..............a real gem!!

6 people, $96. for breakfast without the tip. First, let me say the speciality french toast was excellent, but it's bread. Very good bread, but still bread. Each of the four that ordered it enjoyed it. Egg white omelet was also good said the fifth. Me? Pancakes and scrapple. Pathetic. Large flat tasteless flour discs. Scrapple? Deep fried to the point where one friend said it look like a brown Brillo pad. Seriously? Now back to the bill. In addition to the above add 3 orange juice, one tomato juice 4 coffee's. Oh, and a side of 3 pieces of bacon. $96.??? Service was ok but one waitress was scooting to cover 2 rooms, thus the reason I didn't send my order back. No, we won't be back. John & Patti's, I promise I won't stray again….

The constant long lines during breakfast hours are not because the food is good. It is because the service is terrible and then tables take forever to get cleaned and ready for the next party. To make matters worse, after waiting in line for 30 minutes with only 2 parties in front of us, a "regular" walked in and was given our table after we were told we were about to be seated. This should be your last choice between all the other breakfast spots in the area.

A stop for lunch while traveling and sightseeing around Margate and Longport.
Lunch was very good and I found priced accordingly based upon options and offerings...
This was a first time stop for our family at this Restaurant and i would defeinately revisit again...
