My wife and I just ate at Blu last week, after being unable to get a table at Scala del Nonna without a reservation (oops!). But we were very glad to wind up at Blu.
We'd heard good things about it but hadn't been there in nearly five years. Blu was a real treat. We went on Saturday night and wound up with their only open table, before it became reservations only.
The food was creative an inventive, the service was attentive and it was an overall fun meal. We both got liver mousse and carrot soufflé appetizers which were both excellent. Then we shared a duck entrée which was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of crispiness to go along side a stellar fig sauce.
We shared a crème brulee for dessert that was stellar. Blu had not been on our prior regular restaurant rotation, but it will be going forward.
