You get everything you could ask for with the exception of small seating space. Overall very good breakfasts and lunch. Love the omelettes and the tuna. Great burger as well

In the nicer weather Raymond's has an outdoor seating area with several tables 0n the sidewalk in front. I sat there at lunch which was quite pleasant. Good food and good service.

Our party of five took some time to figure out what we wanted because we were busy chatting AND because the menu offers so, so many great choices. We wound up with spaghetti and clams $16), tuscan kale salad ($11), grilled shrimp ($11), pasta special - like pasta primavera, beet salad, hummus, and a couple other plates plus dessert - chocolate pudding (large, rich), key lime pie (shared - tasty), and sorbet. The tuscan kale salad was tops - pickled cherries, toasted whole pistachios, and drunken pecorino (very thin slices - not quite enough to make an impact). Really good salad - loved it. Shrimp (4) served on bamboo skewers over a slice of peasant bread with grape tomatoes and olives (I passed on the olives). Very good. Other in our party enjoyed their dishes. LOTS of choices - salads, veggie items, gluten free pasta. You can sit outside if you like.

Breakfast, brunch or lunch are all a treat at Raymond's.
But be advised: you will have to wait. You will have to wait to be seated & you will have to wait for service. This is an interesting "double-edged sword"...the waiting is because they are always busy, and loaded with families but the waiting can interfere with a good meal. Keep in mind that Montclair is not lacking in restaurant choices so the fact that Raymond's is mobbed on weekdends should be a sign of good food. you will not be disappointed with the food, The French Toast is excellent, any egg dish was great & the burgers are fabulous. SO, go. Shop on Church Street & allot enough time for a good meal.

I went to this bustling diner-like shop for a late lunch before going to The Presby Iris Gardens. The outdoor seating was packed at 2 PM. The view of Church Street is great, but the tables are on top of each other. The service was really bad. We waited a long time for our food as the patrons seated after us were gobbling away at their meals. Since we were literally only an inch away from two tables we started conversations about we thought they forgot about us. When the food finally arrived, it was good. I enjoyed the spinach omelette even though they used excessive oil, and my friend loved her burger and fries.
