I have been here a lot of times. It never occurred to me to review it. It is close to home, and I have been writing about places far away. Anyway, spouse and I like it for lunch when we are near.
RN makes unusual items, but within the belief of American cooking. The latest lunch was April 28. She had whitefish salad. That is not on many menus. She liked it to the last crumb. I had the "Mount Holly" which is a chicken salad in one large piece of bread topped with a square of melted cheese. The bread is their own baking and the rest is their preparing too. The pastry for dessert looked great, but we were full. The size of them is really big.
I know where their parking lot is. It is around the corner about 100 meters away. There are only three spaces next to the restaurant.

Went to Robin's Nest (as we have done every year for Easter Buffet) this was an exceptional pleasure. We got a first floor seating , found parking on first pass, everything was showing signs of a great meal. Walked in they had our table waiting, the server almost anticipated what we want coffee or tea. We chatted a while and went to buffet table . The line was small and moving, the eyes could not believe what the nose was saying. Everything was hot, fresh and cooked just right. This was the best buffet yet. I totally recommend Robin's Nest, get the 10:00 AM sitting and the rest will be perfect.

Food was good! Soup is fabulous!!! There was a little confusion with the waiter but he made up with offering our whole party free dessert. This is a class restaurant.

We've enjoyed The Robin's Nest for years ~ brunch, lunch, dinner, special occasions, bakery ... LOVE the comfortable atmosphere in a classic old building dripping with charm, but without pretension. Indoor setting is quaint and cozy, and in the summer, the outdoor patio is a great place for drinks and a nice meal. Highly recommend the quiche and salad for brunch, but honestly, everything is good. It's the one place I enjoy dining alone as much as dining with my husband for a quiet date, or with a group of family and friends.
