It's just like it was 25 years ago. This time, we took the kids so they could see where their parents used to eat.

Pretty much the same menu. Reasonable quality for the price. Decent service.

The beer menu has grown a bit. There are a lot of bottle and tap choices.

Unfortunately, the interior has pretty much remained the same. It's time for some remodeling and updating.

Maybe we'll come back if the kids decide to go to Rutgers.

I ordered the SYM Niger bade of ground chuck and ribs. It was ordered medium to well. It was dry and grainy. Not moist. The bun was dry as well so not a great combination. My friend got the cheese steak it was dry and chewy. Pickle spears great and crisp. Go for the beer and NOT the food.

Despite the cowyboy-ish theme and name, this place is known for making strombolis. Their strombolis are made to order, fresh and hot. They are almost more like elongated calzones - pizza dough wrapped around cheese, sauce, and your choice(s) of "toppings". Kind of like a pizza wrap.

In any case, they are absolutely delicious. It is a good value - you get a good, filling portion for your money. They have standard bar-type appetizers (broccoli-cheese bites, etc.) which are all good; nothing spectacular but all good. The stromboli is the main event, though, and it is worth the visit.

Trivia (which may be pretty overtold at this point): Celebrity chef Mario Batali got started cooking here when he was a student at Rutgers!

Service is excellent, atmosphere is casual and relaxed. They have an indoor bar which can get crowded easily and in nice weather they open an outside bar and patio (which also get crowded easily). It's a popular place so you may encounter crowds, especially on weekends or any day where there is a major event on campus.

When people ask me for a real traditional Rutgers eating experience, Stuff Yer Face and a couple other places (grease trucks/fat sandwiches, and Cluck-U) are the main places that come to mind. Since Stuff Yer Face offers a casual "sit-down" dining experience I will usually recommend it over the other places to people visiting Rutgers/New Brunswick.

When I have visitors that I am showing the Rutgers area to I will often take them to Stuff Yer Face for a real Rutgers experience.

I can pretty much guarantee that anyone will enjoy the food here, I highly recommend it!

Great place for a boli and a drink. Watching a game here would be even better. Service is ok. Price is reasonable. Make your own boli is the best!!!!

located near Rutgers University this place is filled with the college scene! I thought it would be an Italian restaurant but 90 percent of the menu are different varieties of Stromboli's. Prices are very reasonable. Service was very quick. Sizes and prices of the Stromboli's vary as well. Food was great tasting. On the negative side, the Stromboli's were greasy and a bit thinner than what I am used to. I would still come back again if in the area. Also nice that on a blistery hot day, the place is air-conditioned, unless you sit outside. Place has 2 floors, and contains 2 bars, although I am unsure what is on the second floor. Parking is on the street with meters.
