Staff was very helpful when we finally arrived at 2 am. We called at midnight when our flight arrived 4 1/2 hours late. We checked out at 5 am to catch our early flight. Was disappointed with the "take away" quick breakfast offered. The hotel is a bit hard to find, and our cab driver from JFK would not call for directions or turn on his phone, so make sure you know how to find the hotel.

The location is good with only a short drive from/to the airport. Only a short walk or shuttle to Newark Penn Station, with a 20-30 minutes train ride to Manhattan. Easy access to east- and northbound Interstates. Free parking within the premises is great.
Rooms have average size for the US, and also average standard.
Breakfast can surely be improved, being below average compared to other BW Plus with no hot options whatsoever. Breakfast is served from 6AM which is good if you need to hit the road in the morning.

We used one of the online travel sites to reserve a room here for an excellent price. I knew the hotel had been there for a while, so I wasn't expecting much for the price. But I was pleasantly surprised.

They rooms were obviously just renovated. They were clean and modern, offering all of the normal mid-priced hotel amenities (e.g., bathroom shampoo's etc) plus some. The room was more like a suite, with its own couch. They didn't do anything structurally to the hotel, though, so it had those thin walls that you can hear through.

You'll find the front entrance to the building around back, and that's where the parking is as well. The available parking is quite limited. Before pulling into the lot, make sure that you know how to get your car in and out of tight parking spaces.

Our room faced away from the airport. The back lot isn't much to look at. It's mostly industrial, and there's a train station within eyeshot and ear shot. The station wasn't tremendously loud, but you could hear it from the room.

Nevertheless, this was exactly what we were looking for. We needed a comfortable, clean, relatively quiet room that was inexpensive and relatively close to the airport because we had an early morning flight. We'd go there again.

Room Tip: You might consider leaving the car at home or at the airport and getting to the terminal via taxi.

Awful experience. I choose it to be close to airport because I was arriving late and departing early. Whole stay planned was only 5 hours and cost was a large $169 for an Elite Gold member. First of numerous issues was airport pick up after arrival. Even though I called from EWR Airport transportation center and requested a pick up, I had to call a second time after waiting about an Hour in a chill and rain had started. Thought since I was told it was one mile away they would be there soon . After seeing many other Hotel vans pick up, some as many as five times I called. Hotel desk when answering my second call said are you James? So he knew I has not checked in yet. He said he told me to cll him from P4 location. HE DID NOT. I had no bags and told him that in my first call and was headed right over to P4. Van driver claimed he came to P4 3 times. Not possible. The flight attendant stood with me and we both were watching for her and my vans, Two of us could not possibly have missed it at any time. THE ROOM - Bathroom has ceiling fan that turns on same time you turn on lights that sounded like a jet engine. Needs lube job or replacing. Since it was after midnight and I was on the 0530 van in the morning, most of my bathroom time was spent in the dark so as not to awake guests in other rooms. CLOCK ON NIGHT STAND - Everything was blinking, Snooze alarm, time, etc. Tried to TURN OFF with on off button, no luck. Tried to unplug, no luck. Blinking lights with short night sleep and possible snooze alarm to go off does not make for comfortable sleep. Set my I phone up to alarm but outlet across the room and could not really find one obvious near bed. Risk was not hearing alarm at 0430 AM. Next - I turn on TV to check for football playoff results and all it hit was ON button. What I saw was shocking . The first thing I saw was a PORN movie. I do not care to watch those. At this point I was very upset and attempted to use phone on night stand. Would you believe when I called the front desk I got a busy signal, wake up call a busy signal and so on. This is at mignight 30 probably. What if I had an emergency? So I now I head back down to the front desk from the fourth floor. The clerk explains that Direct TV had installed a Home owner package on the TV system that day and work was done on the phones as well that day. Must have impacted the clock set up as well. The finish was after we boarded the van in the morning. We backed up at a pretty good rate of speed and actually made a left turn going backwards around the corner of the building without really slowing down. I felt safer in the airplane later then I did in the van. After over 50 years of travel all over the World, this is clearly by far my worst experience of all time.

This is a small hotel by the airport. Staff is very helpful.
Hotels offers restaurant and 24hrs shuttle service to EWR.
Only two things I did not find good:
-My bathroom hair - left overs from the last guest...
-Breakfast is rather limited to the NY area. Can do better than just this simple one.

Other than that, it's fine.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with no hair...
