This relatively large and somewhat quaint picturesque park transforms annually into a spectacular gem of blooming Japanese cherry trees (sakura trees). This is quite a spectacle... I have not seen that many sakuras in one park anywhere else in the USA.
Previously there would be no way online to check whether cherries are in bloom, but now there is a real-time camera, which is certainly an improvement.
This park becomes very romantic when sakuras are in bloom, with paved leisurely walks along the river canal.
