3 block walk to PATH and NJT - and 18 minutes to NYC. Used for both biz and fun. Clean, awesome restaurants in the area - Forno's for one (best filet mignon imaginable). No regrets on this one. $104/night + taxes=great deal.

I com here to relax...it gives u the cozy at home feeling and they are willing to accommodate if u have any problems. The staff is nice, (the ones i have encountered) and the Breakfast team is so fun to be around. Overall if your use to luxury then this might not be for u, but if your looking for a nice place to enjoy yourself and/or company.

I have business in New York. I am flying in at 9pm and used this place to crash and catch the train to midtown. Perfect for that for sure. The shuttle was good, late, but good picking us up at the EWR. Check in was friendly, all staff are very friendly, somewhat Newark, but friendly. I got in late after 11pm. No juice available period. You can get FANTA and other sugar and fatty snacks out of a machine, but no juice what-so-ever and no stores or anything around this hotel. In a word the entire property is "way over the hill".

It smells. It smells of smoke and mold. My floor (3) was beyond smell..the word is stinks of age, mold and smokes. The room was ok. Old, and I think it would just feels dirty, even if it is not. There was hair in the tub kind of stuff. Internet did not work well. I kept getting a page at midnight that said sorry, busy. The shower was old and water lacked any rinsing power.

The breakfast was something out of a horror movie. Bagels were covered in green mold (the attendant was like..so what. Toaster were broken, and egg sandwich might put one in the hospital..so I steered clear of breakfast. Bad Bad Bad. Crowded room too. Europeans love that free breakfast, even if mold covers the bread.

I stayed in the Courtyard Inn or something like that last time, and it was a zillion times better. So I can't really suggest this is a great place...until they invest. Yuk. But the staff are friendly and helpful. Elevators are slow and frustrating and dirty. Stairs are alarmed. Ice is there. AC did not work well. The humidity in the room is evident and the smell of smoke is real.

Room Tip: I don't know what to say. Bring air freshener and check room out before moving in. They are dated.

We use the Robert Treat in Newark for trips to Manhattan. Book two weeks in advance and the rooms are around $100. Staff is friendly, breakfast service is decent, room pleasant with a good bed. Hotel shuttle to the train station runs every 30 minutes, and the trains into the city are a couple bucks ... $1 for geezers with a PATH card.

This hotel located in walking distance from Newark Penn Station which has a number of train lines to Manhattan (a 20 minutes ride). The rooms of a nice size. hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast provided is basic but ok. We had some problems with the wifi connection as it was periodically not available.
Taking the prize of a room on this hotel into account it gives a affordable alternative to a hotel at Manhattan if one accepts the extra transportation time to get to Manhattan.
