Room clean, spacey, beds very comfortable. Quiet, even thought we were there for holiday weekend. Free shuttle to the airport and back every 20 minutes. Staff very courteous and friendly. They accommodated us when we asked for a rolling bed into our room right away. Several furniture in the room for sitting. The room felt open and not stuffy. I can't think of anything bad about this place and I travel a great deal!

Excellent value for the dollar. The hotel shuttle ran timely to the airport which had access to public transportation to downtown Newark. Additionally, the hotel staff was courteous and professional while the hotel lobby was open and inviting.

They only had one wheelchair available in case of emergency and for the elderly and it had a faulty wheel and no foot rests. Also their luggage carriers had faulty wheels and were hard to push around. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

This hotel is the worse in the Hilton family of hotels. I expected a well appointed room and I got one that came directly from the 1980's. The AC in the room was inadequate and an entire 25% of the room was useless because there was no furniture there for visitors to use only a light that illuminates nothing. The bathroom was even more dated than the room and had a stepped sink. They charge for everything.

This is an additional comment to go with my original review. Although this is a typical hotel with plenty of parking, no valet or anything, they charged us 18 dollars to park for one night. This combined with no wifi or even continental complimentary breakfast and questionable cleanliness did not add up to a good experience.

Room Tip: Don't go here.

Hotel was very nice but let me review an employee. Nesli greeted us at the front desk with a warm smile and a very sweet, friendly demeanor. We were early and check in time was not for at least another hour. Hotwire had not shared our reservation with the hotel so she worked with them to handle their mistake. She allowed us to check in early and gave us a nice room with an awesome view of NY. During the time it took to get all this taken care of, she was very pleasant, went above and beyond, provided cookies to our kids and apologized several times for the wait. She turned what could have been a very bad experience into a win for the company and the brand. Far too often, people only reach out to report the negative. When someone in the service industry treats people the way she did, she should be recognized by the company. The Doubletree/ Hilton brand is better because of Nesli.

They offer a shuttle service to the Newark airport every 20 minutes. It is very convenient. The staffs are very kind and the room condition is much better than I expected. However, there is one major issue. This hotel is extremely noisy even though around midnight.

Also, we understand that the noise was an issue during your stay; while we do have additional security and overnight managers available during high traffic periods we certainly do encourage for guests comfort and safety that they contact the front office so we can calm the issue.
