“A Uniquely Fun B&B - This Place is Cool!”
Reviewed 26 June 2011

After reading the other reviews of Summer Nites we chose to stay here and it was fabulous. The house itself is impressive in its design and it is a great location for the beach and boardwalk but the real appeal of this B&B is the love that has gone into it. These are owners who have a passion for what they do and make a great effort for their guests. Unlike most B&B's, Summer Nites is relaxing and fun without the stuffiness. Our mornings started with a great breakfast by "Mom" and owner Sheila dresses in the 50's theme to start the day as we selected our jukebox songs. As a beach resort we planned to spend most of our time outside of the B&B but we found ourselves in awe of the museum of 50's - 70's antiques and memorabilia that show a true passion for creating this themed home. Make certain to try the genuine antique Coca Cola machine. We stayed in the 60's room and enjoyed the Woodstock videos at night. We also appreciated our private entrance. Their eye for detail is impressive and they are gracious and fun loving hosts. They really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. It is hard to imagine staying anywhere else in Wildwood after this experience. We cannot think of any suggestions for improvement because our experience at Summer Nites was perfect. We plan to return soon.

My wife and I have stayed here for a weekend every July for the past 4 years. We don't see that trend stopping any time soon. The B&B is perfect... quiet (no kids), clean and close to the boardwalk. Sheila's great. Breakfast has always been excellent whether she’s cooking or her mom. What more needs to be said? If you don’t have kids and want to stay in a classy B&B with a great meal to start every morning then you need to stay with Sheila.

When you got it right, it just feels comfortable. The folks at Summer Nites have thought of everything (ok, maybe they could supply hair dryers but that's all I could fault them for). Our stay was quiet, relaxing and whimsical. The decor is so nostalgic, you just feel at home AND young - as if you've gone back in time. From the enormous, delicious breakfasts in the adorable 50's diner car, to the robes, bottled water, game room, porch, afternoon treats (root beer floats, milkshakes and hot pretzels), bikes, video library to the complementary photograph, hot tub...not to mention the serene neighborhood, proximity to the beach and boardwalk - they've aced it - really a stellar experience and one I'd love to repeat. Thanks you guys - you're doing it right! Elvis would be proud!

They had me at the free glass bottles of Coke in an antique machine, but there are any number of things to love about Summer Nites. The rooms and common areas are immaculate, off-street parking (A real plus at the Jersey Shore in the summer) and a hearty breakfast in a Jersey diner setting with a working jukebox. Afternoon tea is transformed into root beer floats and shakes here, and each room has a pretty well-defined theme, but I would steer towards the bigger rooms if you plan on spending any time at the B&B. The innkeeper is well-informed and not afraid to steer customers away from sub-par dining. Not your typical B$&B but one well-suited to this area.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary at a B&B. The place was immaculate. The minute you walk in you are made to feel at home. Sheila is friendly and she does everything she can to make your stay there memorable. She surprises you with special treats for a special occasion. There are so many amenities to make your stay pleasant and they are all free. The ambience is unique and you feel as if you have gone back into time. The dining room is an old style diner with a working jukebox. She dresses up in a poodle skirt when serving breakfast and the food is delicious. You will not go out of there hungry. The bedrooms have themes and many have hottubs in them. There is a hot tub on the deck for those with rooms that do not have hottubs and robes are supplied, free of charge. We are definitely coming back and our friends who came for a visit during our stay will be joining us. Thank you, Sheila, you made our anniversary special.

Summer Nites embodies the America we grew up believing in when we were kids in Europe. Coca-Cola, rock'n'roll music (Elvis!), pinball machines & diners with jukeboxes. We stayed in here last summer on our road trip and are fondly looking back at the memories.

From the friendly host to stunning breakfasts & well-decorated rooms, this place is the best choice for a stay in Wildwood. It captures the Doo Wop spirit of the town perfectly and amplifies it. After the lovely home-cooked breakfast at the "diner", we rented bikes from the B&B and explored the surrounding areas.

From the afternoon refreshments it was easy to continue to nice restaurants & bars suggested by our host. Late in the evening we relaxed in the hot tub under a starry sky, enjoying a nice bottle of sparkling Sonoma wine.

Great hospitality from the time we walked in the door, we got that homey and welcome feeling! Everything about Summer Nites (B&B) was spectacular, the decor, the breakfast diner, the rooms and, especially, the kindness & hospitality! We have a large group, all family, and we were all welcomed from the time you step in the door!

Personally, we had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast and I don't think I will stay at another! We will be back to stay at Summer Nites! We would like to try each of the "Theme Rooms"
