The location and access to beach and showers is great. Decor is a little outdated and could stand to be updated. We come every year with friends and the kids love the pool and adults love that there are showers for after the beach and after we've checked out of the room.

Less than a block away from the busy part of the boardwalk. Bright, clean rooms. Courteous and helpful staff. Reasonable prices, even during the crowded summer season. Off-street parking. When you are in Ocean City, STAY HERE!

This is a great place to stay never short of fantastic, Its a block from the beach and the cleaning staff is very courteous. The beach is close enough that if you have bad knees or just want to be able to run the boards in the morning its near enough that you can get there without worrying about crossing any streets or it taking very long to get to it. I have been going for years and although at certain times of the year it can be pricey the price can be worth it. And the food at the Bloomin' Tulip is unmatched for a morning cup of coffee and some breakfast, though the prices there seem to be getting up there too.

Room Tip: If you get a second floor room the view of the adjacent park is pretty at night.

We love the Impala Island Inn, as is evidenced by our 25 year run! My kids, ages 26 and 29 now, have 'grown up' with annual June trips to the Impala. The convenience of being on the beach block was a 'plus' when the kids were young and we had all of their goodies to drag to the beach. Rooms are clean, and not too long ago remodeled. The Blooming Tulip between the two buildings is convenient for a quick cup of coffee in the AM (a requirement for me!) or breakfast. We also like the fact that we can extend our stay the final day because we can get a shower in the hospitality showers and cool off in the pool before driving home. Additionally, we really appreciate the fact that we are able to check in early if our room is available when we arrive.

Room Tip: The Southside deluxe rooms have always been our go-to choice. We love the extra space they offer an...

I have been staying at the Impala since 1974. It has always been kept very clean and neat. Grounds are meticulously groomed. It is very family friendly. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Smoking is only allowed in a couple outdoor spots, which is a plus for me. The beds are comfortable. I especially like the Southside Deluxe rooms. Highly recommend it.

We have been going to the Impala Inn for over 7 years for a week at the Jersey Shore. Location is excellent as it is just blocks away from some very good breakfast locations and 1 block from the boardwalk. The hotel is what you would expect from most shore hotels, dated but kept clean. This plus the location allows you to park your car and rarely ever need to use it while at the shore.

Room Tip: They do offer rooms that can sleep 6 which are on the south side of the building.

We have stayed in OC for many years. Finding the Impala Island Inn made our stays much more enjoyable. During the summer we like the south side rooms. This past March we had events in Wildwood and took 4 other couples with us, but chose to stay here and travel the 25 miles south, this place IS worth the trip.

This last stay we were in the East rooms for the 1st time. It was winter and the baseboard heat was on and it was LOUD. REAL LOUD. The next morning I told the front desk and they immediately turned it off as the room units were more than enough to keep us warm. They could not have been more obliging.

It is a very short stroll to the "boards" and the beach - 1 building between us and they own that one too (really really nice).

The only thing I miss is the special they offered for the last week of August - they need to bring that back - they offer breakfast for 2 every morning at the Bloomin' Tulip and that is a really nice place to eat with great service.

Room Tip: We shy away from the pool area but all of our kids are grown. South side has a view of some of the r...
