“reminded me of Waikiki”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This beach is so nice. Even on a stormy day it was fun to play in the waves, there are bathrooms, first aid station, and life guards on duty. the sand is soft and easy to dig and mold into castles. the water felt clean as was the sand. umbrellas and chairs are available to rent but they want them back at 5pm .sharp. the boardwalk is loud, bustling, crowded with t-shirt shops, junk food, and lots of arcades, mini-golf, and rides. Bring money.

“Hold old fashioned clean fun for families”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

I have been coming to this boardwalk most of my life and appreciate it more when I visit other boardwalks. Ocean city nj is a both dry town and one where gambling is not permitted. This translates into no bars/alcohol and no games of chance on boardwalk. It means less riffraff and no huckstering for people to throw their money away trying to win a stuffed animal. There are two rides areas, tons of food selections, mini golf and stores galore. Summer mornings you compete with bikes and surreys when walking on the boards. Overall a great place to take your family for good clean fun.

“Boardwalk fun”

My first trip to the Boardwalk and I loved it. Just enough activities/beach access. In the mornings, it is nice and peaceful.

“Best Family Boardwalk in NJ...by far”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Finally made it here after living most of my life in Jersey. Been to all the major boardwalks in the state and for families this one is easily the best. OC is a dry town (no alcohol served or sold), so right off the bat that keeps the early 20 age group summer renters away. Nothing wrong with them, there are plenty of places they are welcome, but I know how I was at that age and I definitely wouldn't want my family to be bumping into them on the boardwalk. This place is clearly for families. The boardwalk itself is over 2 miles long, most of it lined with mini golf, restaurants, gift shops, arcades, ride pavilions etc. One thing you will definitely not see are the games of chance. No big wheel to spin, no frog bog, no clown water balloon race and no one hassling you to stop and play. It took my wife and I a while to realize what was missing here and that along with the loud associated sirens and music was it. We do enjoy these games from time to time, but it was nice to just walk and not be constantly distracted by nonsense and just enjoy the day. This might not be the place for everyone, but it was for us. Make sure you stop at Kohr's for frozen custard (always the best in NJ). We'll definitely be back some day.
