We absolutely loved the Northwood Inn and will definitely stay there again. The rooms were cozy, clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was worth getting up for and Marj and John are very attentive to their guests. We highly recommend the Northwood and will be back.

We stayed at the Inn over Memorial Day Weekend and had a fabulous time. The breakfasts were delicious and the Inn was clean and cozy. The Rose Room was beautiful and looked just as it did in the pictures posted on their webpage. John and Marj were wonderful hosts and paid attention to every detail, making this a very enjoyable experience. The smell of fresh baked cookies in the afternoon was bliss. We highly recommend the Inn if you are looking for a beautiful and welcoming place to stay in Ocean City.

We go back to The Northwood again & again. It's one of the most relaxing places at the Jersey Shore. We love everything about going there -- Marj, John, & Harry, the sunny breakfast room, the delicious breakfasts, the cozy, clean rooms, bikes & beach chairs, all of the great places to hang, like the front porch & the roof deck. Just spent Easter weekend there & already can't wait to get back down there.

Room Tip: All great rooms. Plus a small kitchenette to store your snacks, wine, etc...

This inn is everything these reviews tell and more. The place is full of history and charm and the hospitality and service is everything you can hope for. Marj and John are the innkeepers and have done a wonderful job decorating the inn going the extra mile to create a very warm and friendly surrounding. The inn is close to the beach, downtown Ocean City and Cape May and Atlantic City are not far away. John's breakfasts are outstanding and his knowledge of the history of the area is outstanding. Ocean City is a wonderful little town and worth a walk around the beautiful small streets. Would recommend highly and we look forward to returning.

After reading the reviews right here on this site .. I immediately booked [was a last minute reservation for last weekend] and soo glad I did! Was PERFECT in everyway that I couldn't wait to write my own review! A special shout out to John .. an exceptional host and talented breakfast chef too.. still thinking about that frenchtoast! Yummy! Unfortunately, our hope to stay 2 nights didn't happen because of work conflicts .. we did manage finally to get to the Northwood Inn by 4:30pm on Saturday .. check in was easy breezy and immediately felt right at home .. had an hour to freshen up in our cozy nice room and was right out the door again to see Liza Minnelli [she rocked!] in Atlantic City which is only 20 minutes away .. got in at 2am ..to say the least, I had a wee bit of a wine headache the next morning and was soo nice to sleep in and have breakfast in the room ..def a nice option! It's very quiet and restful even the mattress was super comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this charming and lovely B&B. John was extremely gracious with us and invited us to leave at our convenience...very cool! During our brief stay, we had the opportunity to meet several of the other nice guests [whom some as it turned out, were return guests for many years] and I can certainly see why :) some had mentioned visiting the local wine vineyards in the area .. now, that might be the next fun adventure on the horizen as there is plenty to do all year round in this area .. looking forward to another wonderful & longer stay at the this lovely and historic B&B! Can't wait! I promise, YOU will feel right at home! PS: We did manage to leave before 3pm Sunday .. feeling relaxed and happy! and that was only 1 night's stay .. imagine a longer visit .. that's the plan folks .. that's the plan. Enjoy!
