I gave this hotel a glowing review on January 24 2011. Unfortuantely I experienced the same as "horrible horrible horrible" - everything stated was true and not exaggerated.
I have sympathies for the hotel management - these guests were terrible and hard for the hotel to handle. My problem is with the hotel's slow reponse to our subsequent complaints. There were NO staff monitoring these people at the pool or cleaning up after them. As soon as the horrible guests left the pool, I asked reception to come and clean up - nothing happened. It was only later when I found the manager (I think his name was Mark) and I brought him to the pool that action was taken.
Westin, you have a good nice hotel here - if some of your guests are creating a mess, act quickly to clean it up for the other guests. You MUST respond QUICKLY and efficiently to genuine customer concerns. (credit to Mark, he did roll up his sleeves and start to clean up all the crap by himself).
I am willing to give this hotel one more chance because I visit frequently on business, but I hope for an improvement next time!More
