“Nice location, decent hotel overall”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

The beds are comfortable and the rates were reasonable. The hotel is located a short and easy drive from Princeton University, which was our destination, so it was very convenient. The room was a bit small, but the common areas were pleasant and the free parking was helpful.

Thanks so much for your review of the Westin and mentioning we were located within ten minutes of the University. The common areas are bright and airy and helps carry out the theme of relaxation so be sure to come back often.

We look forward to being a host in the near future.

This was our second visit to The Weston at Forrestal Village, it was a family group and we booked 7 rooms, The hotel was booked solid and was having a wedding reception and ceremony on Saturday. They attempted to place us in a quieter are of the hotel. they partially succeeded We had a great room that was comfortable and we had no noise or Party issues as did my 3 brothers and their families. My son and daughter and their families however had noise issues and the hotel made a valiant effort to curtail the post wedding celebrations but they continued until 5 am. The management resolved the issues by comping my son and daughter for 3 rooms on 1 night and giving them points on their Westin rewards program, We all then had avery good breakfast at the hotel restaurant and they allowed the whole party of 7 rooms late checkout with no extra fees. This was an excellent gesture by the management and we were quite satisfied. We understand that sometimes these issues (wedding celebrations) can get a bit rowdy and the hotel must try and satisfy all including the wedding party who I assumed booked a large number of rooms also. We applaud the management and the staff for there efforts and will return to the Westin there the next time we are visiting our sisters and their families.

Thankfully we are fortunate to have very high occupancies. I am convinced there are many guests with discerning tastes such as yourself that enjoy the Westin brand. I appreciate you recognizing how very challenging it is for hotels to manage the excitement of every wedding and special event as well as how well our team managed the noise. We train tirelessly to insure all details of each stay are executed flawlessly as well as what to do when things don't go quite according to the play book.

We look forward to a return visit and appreciate your Starwood loyalty.

Be well...be safe.

We stayed here using Priceline while visiting Princeton for a Friday-Saturday family celebration. I don't know what the price of the room would have otherwise been, through Priceline I felt like we got a good deal. The hotel is just off Route 1 in a new development with shopping attached. To reach the university is a 10 minute easy drive. Lobby and ballrooms were nice, service was excellent. We were placed in a room near the elevator, and experienced a little noise overnight despite having large posters in the elevators announcing quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM. Because of the large ballrooms, I imagine that the hotel hosts weddings and other celebrations (there was a wedding while we were there) and so celebrants may not think about others' sleep.
Room was quite comfortable, bed was great. I would definitely return here using Priceline.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Westin Princeton. That being said, there were several issues that came up. The hotel was easy to find and located in a nice "village" although there wasn't much to see. Free parking was a plus. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and upgraded us upon arrival to a deluxe room. Not sure what the standard rooms look like, but the deluxe was nothing exceptional. Yet it was pleasant enough and mostly clean -we did find some leftover hair bands in the room and the tub could have used another scrub...a few hairs were left. Pretty gross. Beds were comfortable and the room was nice if unexciting. We found the gym to be amazing. We had really looked forward to using the pool, but it was freezing. Couldn't stay in the water for longer than ten minutes. This was really unfortunate. Other than those issues, we did enjoy our stay. All in all, though, I'm not sure if we would return to the Westin if in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room with a nice view! We had 519 which had a lovely view and with the windows close...

Thank you so much for the great review and for recognizing the staff as being welcoming and friendly. We train so hard to insure every stay is a perfect stay in this regard

I've looked into the pool temperature logs from last weekend and it does appear our settings were a bit low. An easy fix. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Thanks again for the review and of course for your Starwood loyalty. I look forward to being your host in the near future

Located in Forrestal Village directly off the College Road Exit on US 1 and just a few minutes north of Princeton, this hotel is easy to get to and nicely situated for anyone visiting Princeton or any of the many companies located nearby. Nearby (walking distance) are good dining opportunities (Salt Creek Grill) and spa/gym facilities.

Stayed her for a night before a day at Six Flags, NJ. About 20 min drive from hotel to Six Flags.
Check in was nice and easy-Great staff.
Room was comfortable and well appointed. very clean.

Breakfast options I found quite expensive ($5.00 for a muffin) so we ate something quick on the ride.
I think my only complaint, after a long drive and getting dinner, I wish the pool was open a little later. Other than that, it was perfect for what was needed.

Room Tip: Very large hotel, quest a room close to the elevators!

The hotel and staff are the friendliest. The elevators worked extremely fast. The food was upscale. Everywhere we went and every room we visited was clean and fresh. The whole experience was spectacular. We will be frequenting this hotel again. Love the interactions with the GM. Mr. Dalton!
