Stayed at this B&B and it's absolutely lovely. Old Victorian B&B 1 block from the beach. Beautiful wraparound porch furnished perfectly. Room #3 was small but immaculate. The Beacon has a beautiful unground pool. Can borrow bikes and beach chairs. Breakfast was lovely as well, fresh fruit and bread pudding. Would definitely recommend this B&B. Sea Girt is also a very cute town. Also gives complimentary beach towels.

My wife and I spent one night here and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in room 7 on the 3rd floor (Cape Lookout). It had a balcony with a partial view of the ocean one way and a nice sunset view the other way. The breakfast was amazing. The infused water was a nice touch. Snacks and water avail any time. On site parking was nice. Great front porch for early am coffee or after dinner wine. Didn't use the pool mostly because the beach is so amazing there (1 block away). Next door is the Parker House restaurant which is a great place for oysters/lobsters super cheap. Good food. Fun bar. Great time. Great experience. Friendly staff.

After going to the NJ shore for the last 38 years, I found out in late June that the place I had lined up for my wife & I this summer fell through. A very close friend recommended the Beacon House B&B located in Sea Girt, NJ, saying that it was "classy". Well, he was right on the money. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a very friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place (circa 1897) was spotless, and the food was delicious (although variety was limited). A great place to relax and get away. And it's only one short block to the beach. They supply chairs, towels, beach badges at no extra charge, and even have bicycles available, also at n/c. Can't wait to go back. Bill C, Rockland, NY

Room Tip: The main house is quieter. All rooms, except two that have King beds, are Queen beds.

From the time we entered The Beacon House we knew we had made the right selection. Classic Victorian setting inside which gives the aura of Old World elegance. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with central a/c throughout the main house. The breakfast was delicious each day. The location couldn't have been better, i.e. across the street from the Parker House and a block from the beach. I appreciated the amenities, access to bikes for free, beach chairs and umbrellas. Less to bring. In all my travels I never met a more friendly, helpful and courteous staff. From the owner, Candy, to her business agents, Claudette and Amariss, to the breakfast girls and Jack, the jack of all trades, everyone was so personable that it made for a very homey vacation. My wife and I along with another couple, all first timers at the Beacon House, already booked for next year.

Room Tip: I think any and every room is more than adequate.

My husband and I stayed here as a last minute vacation midweek (Wed & Thurs). It was a little over our price range but we were recommended to check this place out due to its location and great service. We were able to book the Cape Lookout room in the Main house and loved the idea of the private balcony with ocean views.

Location: Very close to the beach about one block away. Across the street, there is a great restaurant, The Parker House, which has great service and food for lunch and dinner. Parking on the street is free overnight or you have private parking for B&B guests.

Service: Check in was easy and we ended up driving down from NY early and we were able to check in no problem around 11AM (normal check in is 3 or 4PM). Even if we were not able to, they would have given us the beach passes to use early. The B&B staff were very friendly, smiley, and welcoming.

Room: Upon arrival, they were trying to fix the cable in the room and were successful in doing so very quickly so that we can gain access to our room. The room did not have a wardrobe as shown in the picture but they provided us with hooks on the wall to hang our clothes and had plenty of room in the dressers. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows and covers available. Air conditioning was not controllable in the room but was comfortable. The room is carpeted but looked clean however it would have been nice to have hardwood floors to help with any allergies to dust. Bathroom was small but adequate. Lighting could have been a little brighter above the sink as I found it a little dark.

Food (Breakfast): The first morning, we had French toast with banana and strawberries and a fresh bowl of fruit (strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes, watermelon) and was delicious. The second morning we had another bowl of fresh fruit (blueberries and watermelon) and a bacon quiche along with a freshly made strawberry muffin. All was delicious and service was excellent. Breakfast is served between 8:30 - 10AM but you can get coffee as early as 7:30AM which we did and enjoyed on our balcony. I recommend going as early as possible as it would get quite busy. We also like it more quiet! :)

Beach: Beautiful wide, golden sandy beach. The hotel provides beach passes (normally $10 for adults) but do not lose it as you will have to pay about 100 dollars if you do. Waves were great for boogie boarding. Pets allowed during off season only. Food and drinks not allowed on the beach so disappointed about this but we saw many people with softdrinks and small snacks. No alcohol allowed...They have a beach snack bar where you can get lunch and sit out on the picnic tables.

Other: Wifi is available but it did not work in our room

Overall great stay and would recommend The Beacon House!

Room Tip: Choose rooms with a balcony as they are located at the front and have partial ocean views

My husband and I have stayed here many times over the years. It never disappoints. The location is one block from the ocean and there is plenty of parking. The staff, especially Claudette, is charming and so very helpful. The rooms are comfortable with central air conditioning and the rate includes breakfast and beach passes. You have access to bikes, helmets, beach chairs, and towels. There is also a refrigerator for the use of guests. Every thing about the Beacon House keeps us going back.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main house are quieter than the Summer House.

Our family has been going to this charming hotel (bed and breakfast) for over 35 years.
It's only one block to the beach, which makes it very convenient. They also have a pool which is a nice alternative. There is a great restaurant/bar across the street called the Parker House.
Their breakfasts are delicious and the service is friendly. The management and employees are so friendly and make you feel right at home. It's so relaxing to sit on the front porch and read a book or just rock on the rocking chairs. They have bikes for their guests and beach chairs should you need them. The accommodations are impeccably clean and beautifully decorated.
Would highly recommend.
