“Interesting House”

This is a old lived in house with a beacon built on top. It is 6.00 to climb to the top of the lighthouse. From there you can look across to the beach. There is free parking around the area but you have to beat the beach goers to get one of these spots. Interesting and different.

Great place to spend a couple of hours with family if you love light houses as much as we do. Also learn about how and why it was built and the history of it and the people whp ran it.

This is a wonderful lighthouse, one of NJ's treasures, with a prime ocean front location in a residential area. Unfortunately, not many historical pieces are displayed within. Parking is extremely limited and difficult in season, Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Hours to view/visit interior are limited and vary....check schedule.

Warm and welcoming a real sense of "how it was" good for kids and adults - lots of nice gifts to buy that are reasonable in price. Close to the beach for a refreshing stroll as well.

The architecture is beautifully preserved in this historical gem. The local volunteers were very knowledgable.
