I arrived very late last weekend. The front desk receptionist, I believe her name is Kathy, was pleasant and assisted my concerns re parking. The next day I had to get up early to go to NYC, and Edwina from the front desk was very professional and personable....THANK YOU!

The hotel is situated just a few steps away from the nearest bus station that will take you to NYC. The ride to NY is probably 15-20mins total - with just a few short stops (3-4) and then you're on your way to NY via the Lincoln Tunnel towards Port Authority. The parking is covered using a parking structure.

I will return - no question.

Thank you so much for your post about your stay with us. Great to hear Kathy and Edwina answered all your questions and provided professional service. Though you had a short stay with us great to hear you learned how convenient it is to travel from our property to Manhattan. we look forward to serving you again.

Great location among several other hotels and many chain restaurants all within walking distance. Bus stop to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan is right outside of the hotel an only cost $7.90 round trip. Bus ride in on a Saturday morning was only 10min. and ride back to hotel in the afternoon was only 15min. Any questions can be answered by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Parking is free in a garage right behind the hotel. Everything was very clean and modern. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was very good both times. Definitely would recommend.

Room Tip: Stay on a lower floor because the elevators a slow.

I have stayed in this hotel for two weeks. On the second weekend I got stucked in the elevator for 45 minutes. They had to call the firemen to open the door. So, ask for a room on the second floor and use the stairs.
The staff is very nice, particularly Sheryll who was very friendly all the time and tried to make our experience better after the elevator episode.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I wanted you to know that since your stay in October we began elevator upgrades in December. We are upgrading one elevator at a time so there will always be an adequate number of elevators for guests. I am very pleased to hear our staff particularly Cheryl provided service that made your stay better.

This place is great if your trying to stay outside the city to save a little money. They have a free shuttle to and from the hotel to the train station, and worse case if you come back too late it's about a $12 taxi ride from the station to the hotel. The train cost round trip $8, or $35 for a week pass, and it's only one stop away from Penn Station. There's a bunch of franchise restaurants within walking distance, and 2 connected to the hotel. The rooms are a decent size, with a HD TV, it's clean, has good lighting, and had a good amount of outlets. The staff was also great! My only complaint I would have is the shower.

Chose this hotel because it was close to Manhattan, but much less expensive than staying in the city. It was adequate for our needs. The hotel claims to be 4 miles or a 15-20 minute bus ride from Times Square, however, during a weekend, especially this past weekend, the bus rides were often closer to an hour due to traffic. The bus stop is very convenient, right next to the hotel. As long as you plan ahead, the bus brings you directly into the Port Authority station in Times Square on 8th Ave. The buses ran on time, every 10 minutes, and they ran till 2:00 am, great for us theatre goers who might like to have a drink after the show.

I have stayed near NYC many times and this was probably the best location. The Courtyard is in an area with shopping, restaurants and public transit. The bus shelter was right outside, which took you to the port authority in NYC, saving you 13 dollar toll, traffic in the Lincoln tunnel, and parking of around 50 in the city. A round trip ticket was 7 dollars. The rooms at this hotel are large, clean and comfortable, unlike the cramped courtyard in midtown Manhattan. Save money, time, and effort by staying here rather than in NYC. The only downfall is that the traffic on the first day of our stay into the city was jammed and our bus took 1 hour to get what should have take 15 min., but the bus was nice, so I can't complain.

Room Tip: Get adjoining room for kids.

I stayed at this hotel for twelve nights while teaching a course in New York City. This place seemed very difficult to find, even with a very good GPS. We were paying appx. $230 a night for a "standard room." The room was clean and comfortable and the rate did include free parking in their garage. Still, for that rate, I expected much more. The room did not have a microwave or fridge in it, which is standard at a Hilton Garden Inn (which is what this property should be comparable to).The room had a coffee maker, but who really enjoys hotel room coffee? Apparently they are working on such a tight profit margin at these (and much higher) rates, they couldn't even put out a large coffee carafe for their guests at any time of the day. Breakfast was available for purchase at an overpriced bistro, but the tight profit margin kept them from setting out brown-bag to-go breakfasts like one finds at Hampton Inns. The ceiling light in my bathroom started making a very high pitched, very loud sound on my second night there. I reported it to the front desk and they first asked if I wanted another room...they would upgrade me to a suite. "Oops, sorry, no suites are available right now, we'll send the engineer up tomorrow." He arrived, replaced a part in the light and assured me that it would not be making that noise again. The following night it started again and the following day I again reported it to the front desk. There was no offer of an upgrade, but they did move me to the room adjacent to my original one. Adjacent to the hotel is an Outback Steakhouse and a Carraba's and their are other places to eat a short walk away. Overall, the hotel was a decent place to eat, but it was overpriced for the amenities that they provided.
