“Excellent location across the street from the bus to NYC”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This hotel is very convenient if you want to get to NYC hassle free. The bus stop is across the street and parking is free. We stayed for two nights. They do not have complimentary breakfast and the food can be pricey. They have a refrigerator in the room, so we took our own milk and cereal and had breakfast in the room. The room was very nice with a partial view of NYC. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. The bus to NYC is a little over $6 per person round trip. Seniors are $3.20. A very good deal. It lets you off at the Port Authority and takes about 10-15 minutes during non rush hour traffic. There are restaurants within walking distance and some are a short driving distance. I have stayed here 3 times and would do so again.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor facing the Hudson River. You get a partial view of NYC.

Green Features: They have recycling bins available in the lobby and by the ice machines.

We chose this as our base for a weekend in NYC. Since we were driving, the free parking deck which was practically empty was a good place for our car. The hotel was quiet and very safe feeling. The rooms were small but anything around NY is. The bus service into the city was excellent. Our only complaint...when we got to our room, the commode was not flushed. We were immediately moved to another room. Would stay here again, though.

That's my second time i stayed in this hotel ( on Marriot rewards points ), it all went very smooth. In a very convenient location, 10 min drive from Manhattan ( just cross the Lincoln tunnel ), I use this hotel when I work uptown NY state ( Saratoga Springs ) and I want to spend my weekend in NYC without commuting 3 hrs.

It's in a safe area with pleanty of restaurant in the area...

From check-in to check-out is was a breeze, I will return if I'll have a chance.

This is the third time I stayed at this hotel. I stayed at this hotel three years in a row. The place is professionally maintained and very clean. The hotel is within walking distance to the exhibition center (2 minutes) and a cluster of restaurants and a theater (5 minutes). There are also bus stops nearby should one decides to go to the city but does not want to deal with getting stuck in traffic. What other reviewers say about the elevator is true. Tends to take a while for it to arrive and, once you get in, tends to take forever to go to your destination floor. I hope they can get it resolved soon. I would stay here again. However, I do know that a residence Inn will open soon in the neighborhood. Though it might be true that the clientele group might be different, but for business travelers, I think they key for this hotel to not lose to its same brand is how they can make their customer feel that they are getting the value.

This place is a solid four stars! That is taking everything into account…. Area is probably the best possible deal you could find to access New York City from points south. Free parking is excellent. There is a bus stop (NJ Transit Bus 320) right outside the hotel that offers only a few stops (another hotel or two and the North Bergen park-and-ride area) between hotel and Manhattan... On both occasions it was about a 15 minute ride to the Ports Authority Terminal. Round-trip is about nine dollars.

The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the train station (reservations required). Penn Station is a very next stop offering connections to all LIRR trains as well as a good central drop off point for the lower side of Manhattan. If you're going to midtown or uptown I would definitely take the bus. Bus and train service is offered most hours. There are buses every 15 minutes until midnight and then every half hour until 2 AM. The schedule may vary but there's definitely easy access at almost all hours.

Hotel staff was very friendly and room was very clean. The only complaint I could possibly have would be the slow elevators. I know other reviewers commented on that because I read the reviews before I booked this hotel. Management responded several months ago saying they were being replaced but nothing has been done as of yet.

There is a Carraba's and Outback attached to the hotel. Red Robin and Buffalo Wild Wings are directly across street and Walmart and Sam's Club are an easy walk from the back parking lot.

There are four hotels in this area and I would definitely stay at one of them next time I come to the city. Those hotels are Holiday Inn Express, Embassy Suites. Courtyard by Marriott, and Hyatt Place. I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle here, as they had adequate security. I have stayed at various other cities in the North Jersey area (Parsippany, Paramus, Wayne, Saddle Brook, Secaucus, Hoboken, and others) and I have never felt more comfortable than I did in this location.

The hotel is well located, close to New York. Time to go to Manhattan takes 10 minutes early on the weekends via the Lincoln Tunnel and 15 minutes from the Holland Tunnel.
The rooms are quite large and well soundproofed. The hotel and rooms are clean. There are many restaurants nearby. Free parking is also convenient
I would go back!

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel from May 16th-18th. Great value for your money. People at front desk were very nice and courteous. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is also very close to Port Authority in Time Square...~10-15 minute bus ride (bus stop is conveniently located across the street from hotel).
