Lovely lunch menu here, no need to book. Nice relaxed atmosphere with old fashioned surroundings and coal fire. Managing the place was a lovely bloke called Alistair, his customer service is absolutely fantastic. He was so friendly, helpful and nothing a bother. A regular customer on his own, clearly with medical difficulties was in. Alistair sat down with him, took his request for lunch, brought him his drink, sat down to make sure he was ok and kept checking on him. How lovely to see this level of service. Alistair, you're one of the amazing people in the world. This guy deserves a promotion. I'd definitely come back here purely based on Alistair's great attitude, sense of humour and level of caring he shows. Massive credit to Kincaid House...well done!

The location is really great. However already quite old and needs some renovation. We had a reservation on a Wednesday and came with almost 20 people. There was only one person taking care of the service, the poor guy. He was very eager but of course it is difficult to handle so many people alone which in general was still good but could be improved by management to provide more help in such case. If someone told me he was also doing the kitchen I wouldn't have wondered. The service and the food took a while. We had diverse food, the haggis burger was delicious. Almost all dishes were arranged very nicely. My dish the seafood salad was not so special. I can not recommend it. Salad with almost no dressing with no taste, just raw shrimps and some smoked salmon and makarel. The last two were ok, but in total nothing special. With some improvement in the service, and the interior it would be amazing. But in general a very nice location. So this is more related to the execution, service, interior.

Was here for a family wedding 8th July - very impressive old house from the outside and looked as though it had stepped straight out of Downton Abbey. We had the meal in the Conservatory which is really lovely and very attentive staff to greet us when we arrived. Bar prices a bit on the steep side and some parts of the hotel could be doing with a lick of paint. However the hotel is surrounded by beautiful well kept gardens and would certainly come back again even if just for an informal gathering.

Reasonable hotel.......a bit tired & could do with upgrading. Really nice restaurant & bar area, & very nice meal. Staff also very friendly.
Reasonably cheap at £89 for the double room including breakfast. Full cooked breakfast which was fab.
Fabulous setting with big long drive & the look of the place from the outside is quite spectacular.
As I said, only complaint is that the rooms could do with being upgraded.
I would definitely visit again.
