We must have passed by this restaurant hundreds of times without ever giving it a second thought. Early on it had a reputation as just a local dive. But sometime in the past few years the place had a complete makeover, so we decided to give it a try.
They now have a dining room completely separated from the bar - in fact you can't even see the bar while in the dining room. This dining room sports white table cloths and has it's own separate entrance to the street, so you don't have to walk through the bar. The bar area has a number of pub-style tables suitable for dining. There is even an outdoor café complete with market umbrellas. The atmosphere is that of a freshly-updated, clean, modern American Pub.
For an American Pub that bills itself as a "night club", the food was quite good. We had dinner in the bar area and stuck to traditional bar food. But the menu did include some more challenging meals, appetizers and specials - which we may try next time. My Broadwalk Burger (which came with chili-cheese fries) was perfect. The ladies had pulled-pork sandwiches. Our 4th had a traditional hamburger. The food was served quickly and hot. No complaints from a generally picky group of eaters.
It was a Saturday night, and the bar was beginning to fill up as we were leaving. Bottom line - we will return.
