The Hotel is really very charming and the up keep of the hotel is really quite impressive . I was "thrilled" to see you have STARBUCKS fresh ground coffee on offer, WOW, You have it all.As this was such a surprise to me most hotels offer old coffee , That has been brewed for hours on end.
Thank you as You have now set very high standards for me.
On my return to New Jersey I shall have nothing but high expectations thanks to The Hewitt Wellinghton I shall be back very soon. Thank you Excellent service 5+++++++

Room Tip: You will really enjoy, as we did the charm and very high class accents this hotel has to offer. Exce...

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent stay with us!

We're so happy you enjoyed your stay. Our property is 128 years old, however, we have managed to really keep her charm intact. We're very glad you enjoyed that aspect of the building!

We have received a lot of good feedback on our new Starbucks Coffee services. We all seem to enjoy it on-property, as well! We thought it was time that a hotel offered a more premium amenity, and felt that our guests deserved the best...so we gave you the best!

I am also very glad to know that we have become your gold-standard. We have no problem being the property you compare all else with! It's an honor!

Once again, thank you for sharing your experience! Have a great day!

The Hewitt Wellington was amazing. I was so excited when I walked into the room. It was so elegant. The hotel has so much history to it that it was an honor to be a guest. My favorite part was walking outside in the morning and seeing the sun rise over the lake, absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be back again!

Staff was very helpful and accomodating (train schedule to airport, etc.). Room was quiet and comfortable and the hotel is a wonderful historic property within walking distance from the beach and quaint downtown. Enjoyed our walks around the lake that was across the street. Wonderful wrap around front porch with rockers for relaxing and visiting. Thanks to friends Mark and Jo who introduced us to Spring Lake. Will definitely return.

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent stay with us!

We're also glad your friends introduced us to you. The more people share, the more people can enjoy our town, our beaches, and our hotel.

There are so many ways to enjoy the town, the property, and find ways to have a great time! Thank you for recognizing those things. We hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Once again, thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Have a great day!

We have been to many bed and Breakfasts in your area in the past 15 years.. We feel your place need some serious deep look into personality, warmth and attention.. It feels no more than just being in a motel..Your breakfast is so sad and remotely remind a breakfast away from home. Thank God for serving Starbucks coffee but even that is not a fun experience. The machine makes so much effort and noise..I am sure you can find an alternative machine. The towels and chairs you provide to the beach are less than basics.. The pillows could use some upgrade.. All together there is a need for improvement for the price charged..
Sorry but we are trying our honest opinion.

Your premises are pretty but lacking character and warmth. We don't feel we have gotten our money's worth..

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent stay with us!

First, I want to clarify that we are not a Bed and Breakfast. We are a hotel. A Bed and Breakfast is classified as being a lodging facility with less than 25 Rooms, and offers a full, hot breakfast.

Seeing that you rated our Rooms 5 Stars, our Location 5 Stars, and our Cleanliness 5 Stars, I don't quite see the correlation between us, and a motel. Also, you stayed in a Lakeview Suite. Motels don't usually have those.

I am disappointed that you did not voice these opinions in person at checkout. I had personally asked how everything was, and you mentioned it was great, and you had a pleasant time. By seeing this review, I am a little perplexed as to why your opinion of us had changed once you had departed. Nevertheless, I am pleased that you took the time to complete an "honest" review.

We have made many strides in our breakfast presentation, and in fact just upgraded a lot of the breakfast items. I know you had just stayed with us this past week. However, our new cereal dispensers, new bread boxes, and other amenities were just bought this past week, after you had departed, and of course on Sundays we have our popular Waffle Bar with fresh fruit, and other great accoutrements.

I am sorry you feel our property lacks personality, character, and warmth. Many people feel otherwise.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to complete this review. We will definitely heed your words wisely, and try to create a better experience for you if you so choose to visit with us once again. Have a great day!

We hadn't been to this part of New Jersey before and found Spring Lake and the boroughs around it to be beautiful, interesting and unique. We were there long enough to be able to explore many places and fill our stomachs with clams on the half shell!! Delicious! Out stay at the Hewitt Wellington couldn't have been nicer. Everything was delightful; staff was particularly helpful and friendly -- just a real joy to be there! We were the first customers of the season in the ice cream shop down the street! Quite an honor! We will certainly go back!

Room Tip: We had a corner suite (#8) which was great -- cool breeze coming in all the time.

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent stay with us!

I am glad you were able to branch out, step out of your comfort zone, and give Spring Lake a chance for your getaway. It is truly a spectacular town, and one that creates memories that last a lifetime, and are passed down from generation to generation. Some of the stories of some of our loyal guests over the years really are amazing, and we're glad you could share your story with everyone else.

We are very happy that you had a very relaxing, pleasurable experience, and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future for another dose of Spring Lake!

Once again, thank you for sharing the details of your experience. Have a great day!

The dude at the front desk must be very busy-don't bother him with your stories, he doesn't want to hear them and he will let you know that. The women at the desk last year were so nice and helpful, think the new staff needs a lesson in customer service. Just happened today when my cousin and I called to make a reservation--after convincing her to stay at the Hewitt again this year I doubt she will be back.

Thanks for sharing the details of your most recent experience with us!

I apologize for your less than pleasurable experience during a phone call with us. Although it is not a fair excuse, our phone lines have been a little crazy lately, due to some land work that Verizon has been performing in our area, and some people were not able to reach us. When they did reach us, phone calls flooded in all at once, and we were trying to accommodate all phone calls at once. This does not excuse the impatience we exhibited on the phone at that time.

Yet, I did phone your cousin, and personally apologize for the experience, and we agreed that we are both looking forward to your stay; you and her visiting, and us welcoming you.

Once again, thank you for your comments. Have a great day!

Just dialed this place to inquire about Travelzoo deal that they have. Called from a work phone which has a recording function built in. The receptionist got really agitated about that and hang up without giving any details. Called back from a regular phone - similar attitude and time spent on explaining details about 10 seconds. The name of the deal is charming hotel in Spring Lake - i guess not everything is so charming about the place. Shared this deal with at least 20 people i know - will follow up with a big DO NOT GO.

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent experience with us!

I apologize for your less-than-pleasurable phone experience with one of our associates. However, if this associate was not notified that the phone call was being recorded from the start, he is, by law, not allowed to continue the conversation.

In order for a person to record a phone call, it must be announced by at least one party prior to the conversation starting, otherwise the conversation may not continue.

It is unfortunate that you are not willing to stay at the hotel due to one phone call experience. We can, however, promise those that do actually stay with us that their experience will be top-notch!

Once again, thank you for the details of your experience. Have a great day!
