we have enjoyed the Hewitt Wellington's hospitality many times, so we booked an extended stay of 5 days. Once again, we had a great time in Spring Lake. It is our favorite place at the Jersey shore and we are planning another extended stay in Oct. Thanks to Mr. Hamby and all the staff at the Wellington and we will see you soon!

Room Tip: we are going to keep our favorite to ourselves, but there is not a bad one in the place.

the general manager never returned my email(sent the day of the reservation 30 days prior to arrival).
Our room was nice but the cofffee maker and microwave were not plugged in . You had to move a large dresser to get to an outlet. Get a power strip!!!!
thanks to kathy and jimmy for excellent service and accomodating us.
Whispers restaurant is hotel is Outstanding..a must eat there. breakfast was OK but waiting for individual cups to brew from coffee machine was tedious. they should have pots of cofee there to accomodate breakfast influx

Room Tip: pool side rooms are great.

A beautiful community and my favorite place to stay at the Jersey Shore. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Suggestions: In the breakfast room, the table place mats should be replaced and the trash container openings cleaned.

In my bedroom, the area behind the bed should be cleaned including the back of the headboard (I dropped something, etc.) Also, clean under the TV box.

A great place to stay in Spring Lake!! This hotel is historic and picturesque, and most importantly, well-run, well-kept, and very clean. I understand all the rooms were recently renovated, and the units are individually owned.
Our room on the second floor was spacious, clean, and bright with a king bed, quite a few windows, and a big, modern bathroom. The room also featured a couch and a lot of dresser drawers. (The closet was really small, but that was the only drawback.)
The breakfast was basic, but had a variety of yogurts, pastries, hard boiled eggs and a make-your-own waffle machine, too. Fresh starbucks coffee is available 24 hours a day. A nice touch and much appreciated!
We were traveling with friends and this hotel was ideal because it features a number of cozy common areas for socializing. It has a huge wrap-around front porch with a number of tables and chairs, and a few nice lobby areas / sitting areas that encourage socializing.
The pool is a decent size -- private, clean and has a number of lounge chairs for guests. A comfortable place to hangout after the beach.
We also had dinner one night at Whispers, the hotel's restaurant, and the experience exceeded our expectations. They have an excellent sushi bar here, with a wide variety of sushi rolls. Bring your own wine (remember, it's a byob!)
The only downside is that the hotel is a little bit of a walk to the beach, and parking around the hotel can be an issue, depending on the time of day. The designated spots were all occupied when we returned one evening. John, the evening hotel front desk manager, was really proactive & helpful and let us park in a private area to avoid a possible ticket.
Speaking of the staff, they were always smiling and cheerful. The front desk team, including Kelly, were also extremely helpful. They even let us use their beach chairs and towels on our check-out day, and we were thankful for that. We will definitely plan to return!

Room Tip: There is no elevator, & a lot of steps to get to the rooms above the first floor, so be aware of...

Thank you for sharing the details of your most recent stay!

We appreciate the very detailed, and very informative review. There were so many great things touched upon! The walk to the beach is very easy, and very convenient, considering that the parking situation around town is very restricted, especially in the dwindling days of Summer. The parking can be a little difficult, depending on the time of day. However, we can always guarantee parking on, or very close to the property. No need to worry about that.

Thank you for taking the time to inform all future guests of your experiences. It is very much appreciated.

Once again, thank you for sharing your experiences. Have a great day!

Will book again. Clean, quiet but kids friendly. Nice breakfast and pool. Helpful staff. Can use new mattress. Bed was very unconfortable. 3 blocks walking distance to the beach. Great food in town and nice stores to shop.
