The hotel is in a convenient location to the ocean and the main street for shopping and restaurants. Pretty area by the lake and church. Nice lunch place called Who is on 3rd. it is on 3rd Ave. The hotel has a good Continental breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view.

We arrived early but Kathy saw to it we were pleasantly installed. She was helpful throughout our stay. Our suite was very large and comfortable, the only negative being that we had a thin blanket rather than a duvet. We had problems with the TV--why is there no printed info available? Not everyone is a technological whiz kid! The only real complaint--the breakfast was unsatisfactory. Dry bagels, not even one plain yogurt, terrible quality packaged jam, plastic plates and knives--I challenge anyone to spread cold butter with those knives. The whole thing was a disappointment, not a true continental breakfast. If you are going to include breakfast I do wish you would make it a good one. We had dinner at Whispers, which was very good except we did not know that we could have brought our own wine; the wine offerings are not as good as the food. Wish we had been told ahead of time.

Room Tip: On the third floor there's a lovely view of both the lake and the ocean in the distance. We didn't mind the stairs in order to have the sense of being truly in Spring Lake!

Thank you for taking the time to let me know about your stay with us. I'm so sorry that it was not the perfect stay we do strive for. In not having a kitchen, we try to offer our guests the best we can and we clearly did not for you. We are always looking for new ways to upgrade the continental breakfast and welcome any suggestions guests have. I appreciate your feedback and will look to move forward from it and revisit our current offerings.
I do hope that you will come visit with us again and that we are able to give you the vacation we want to give every guest who chooses us.
Thank you

We were treated very nicely from the moment we stepped in. We enjoyed our stay and the town. I can't wait to go back. Plan to take the kids next time. Very close to 3rd street and the beach. Highly recommend.

We had a great time during our stay at the Hewitt Wellington! The location was perfect..so much within walking distance..lake, park, ocean., boardwalk and shops, restaurants!! Also within a close drive to Ocean Grove and Asbury Park. The B&B was lovely and the staff very nice and helpful.Kathy even called me the day before and said we could check in early since our room.was empty the nite before! Would love to go back in the summer to really enjoy the beach.

Revisit of our honeymoon stay. The location and ambiance are peaceful and relaxing. Fifteen years since our last(and first) stay here and just as wonderful as the first. We will certainly come back the next time we want to slip away for a couple of days.

Room Tip: Lakeview rooms on second floor are the best!
