“Hidden gem”

I initially thought this place was just a take out restaurant. When we got there, we found out that they had a nice size dining area and an even nicer outside seating area. The service was excellent even though they were busy. They had a nice selection on the menu and the food was very good. Prices were reasonable.

“A bit hyped but worth a shot ”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

Went there a couple of nights ago with a large group and had a very good meal. . The shared appetizers were a hit. . Nicely breaded calamari and clams that were not overcooked but delicious with their sauces. A good interpretation of Maryland crab soup and some soft shell crabs completed my dinner. . Others tried some of the specialties seen on the Food Network. Overall a nice evening.

“Waste of money”

Myself and a friend stopped in to have lunch last week, we heard about Quahog's on the Food Network, so we decided to give it a try...The menu is very limited. We both ordered the clam chowder, the broth was very lumpy and had a hint of maybe cinnamon, not good, And maybe 2 clams in each bowl. I had the lobster roll, yuck!!! it was served on a SMALL sort of stale roll, there way maybe 3 tsp of lobster type mixture on the roll. The lobster pieces were so small and mixed with cole slaw mix !!! The "roll" was served with weird tasting cole slaw and a bag of chips..all for only $19.00!!! My friend had the crab cake sandwich, well it was a ball of filler, no taste and deep fried. Not good at all...The first time the crab cakes were served they were cold in the middle and were sent back...and thay is where they should have stayed. I had such hign hopes for this place, maybe there is something good there, but we sure did not have it. Also the staff is not very friendly!!! One bright side is that the restaurant was very eclectic and charming.....

“Possibly our new favorite in wildwood area”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Been here twice now. Admittedly drawn here by the TV coverage on the food network. Nice outdoor setting in a walled in courtyard. It is a BYOB place that has fantastic seafood and great specials. All seafood is fresh. Menu is limited if you don't like seafood, but there are plenty of other non seafood places around. The indoor seating area is really dark and a little small and has a little unplaced odor going on, but being borderline OCD, I didn't have a problem with the cleanliness of the place. The machaqa (spelling?) is amazing. It has a limited kids menu and while I wouldn't label this as a kid friendly place specifically, they are very welcoming of kids and don't look down on families with small kids. Service is good but not terribly fast if you are in a hurry.

The place is right next to the Taco Shop. You could easily walk by this unassuming gem of a restaurant, which is part of the appeal.
