Bischoff's is a Teaneck institution that has been around for as long as I can remember. With delicious ice cream, decent table service and lots of little odds and ends this is a great place to take your kids for a break.

When we drove up with our SUV full of kids, the first thing we noticed was the quiet street and lack of business on Saturday. Little did we know (as visitors) that everything Jewish owned in the neighborhood closed on Shabbat (Saturday). Bischoff's was a great place to visit for the charm of the 50's ice cream parlour from days gone past. We grabbed several scoops and sugar cones of their home-made hard ice cream along with a couple of milk shakes. The young man working the till (dressed in period costume/uniform) was patient with our large group (of mostly kids) and made the experience that much better. Rather than hanging out in the parlor, we chose to make our way a few doors down to the benches outside. The ice cream was good, creamy and flavors were mixed well. I would definitely recommend for folks to visit multiple times . . . not to mention, the prices are fair and affordable.

This is a small-town ice cream parlor with a section with a counter with stools and table service in the section behind. It hit the spot for late night craving and I was happy to see that it was open late. Got there close to closing time, but once the order was placed, the desserts came out quickly. There were many varieties of flavors and I wanted to try each one, maybe in future visits. Enjoyed every bite. Prices are a little high and you must bring payment to the cashier up front - the waiters, for some reason, do not handle payments. And as others said, parking is on the street.

Nostalgic ambience and friendly service make this a local gem. Indulge your inner child with an eye popping selection of homemade ice cream flavors and toppings. Accomodating staff helped us organize our logistics that included a wheelchair. It was a fun family outing that we will repeat this summer.
