We are here invited by some friends as part of another mutual friends birthday dinner. There were 12 of us and things went bad from the get go. We eat out a lot and worked in the industry through college so we are very forgiving when it comes to things not going just right in a restaurant but this was beyond that. Our hostess sat us and since it was a surprise we told them to just send the couple who's birthday it was over to where we were. First we were sat without menus then when the guest of honor arrived the hostess asked them if they were here for the surprise party!? Really? Surprise spoiled. Would not have been a huge deal if it wasn't for the fact that we told both the hostess and server it was a surprise. I guess he would have know when he finally walked to where we were but it was just the principal. Our server was new it seemed and not ready to take tables yet. ( She was sweet but not ready to take 12 people or to serve period ) It took a while to get menus and even longer to get bread ( that was just soso ) and drinks. The server was flustered so we decided to just help her out and go with the flow. Everything just went downhill as the night progressed. Our apps took 40 minutes and again we were just enjoying our company and trying to look past all this but we were met with shrugs anytime we asked about something that was taking too long. Our dinners were served 2 hour and 20 minutes after we sat and 4 were missing. They came out after almost 15 minutes when most of us were done and one was for the Birthday boy.Food was barely average after having waited that long we'd at least hoped the food was worth the wait. My friend asked to speak to a manager and the server went over to a young gentlemen that we were told was the owner. Looked a bit young to be an owner but as they're talking you could just see him shrugging his shoulders and have this air about him that he was aggravated to come over. Long story short the server said he'll be right over. We never saw him again after that and decided we had enough and asked for our check. Nothimg was offered for the fiasco and frankly nothing was expected after the way everything went. 'owner" decided it was better to avoid us i guess . We skipped dessert and went to they're house to have cake that we bought at Sundaes down the street after we left there
