“Food OK, slow service”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

Visited this diner last weekend while in the area for a wedding. The atmosphere was typical for a jersey diner, complete with lunch counter. The service was unbelievably slow, especially being a Saturday morning and less than 10 people in the whole place. My coffee mug on the table was dirty, having some sort of chocolate residue on the handle. The food was good, but they need to work on speeding things up a bit and making sure clean dishes are being used.

“Not my favorite diner”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

From the outside, it looks like a classic Jersey diner. Once you enter, you will first notice the subdued fluorescent lighting being used. The decor does not create a warm and inviting atmosphere. If felt more like a cold sterile environment. We were shocked as to the help which were just ok. They all seemed just old and tired, and didn't want to be there. Our server actually had a big visible sweat stain on their chest. The menu was quite extensive, but the quality of the food is subpar. Too bad, as this is a great location on Route 35, and is the only local diner.
This would be a great candidate for Chef Ramsey, of Kitchen Nightmares.
