Friends and acquaintances have raved about Aldo's for years. We could never figure out why! The owner, Aldo, is probably the last person on a long line of applicants that you would hire to be a greeter, host or maitre de. He'd be better off just having guests shown to their table by the server at whose table you would be seated. We celebrated our daughter's birthday the other night. We ordered a variety of offerings; all were quite delicious. I have reservations about my double cut veal chop, however. It was fatty and gristly. Hardly cooked inside although the waiter suggested "medium". I should have sent it back, but I didn't want to create a delay in our family meal. All in all, as my grandson pointed out, the background noise was evident, but not too bad as some reviewers have indicated. My take on Aldo's? Just another "pretty good" area Italian restaurant.
