We arrived here at the hotel fairly late in the night. Maybe about 3:00 a.m. The front desk man "Ward" was efficient if not capable, can't really say friendly - "rude" is the word my husband used. The hotel had just recently put black mulch down around the plants in front of the hotel, and so there was a heavy mildew-mold smell around the hotel.
The rooms were a fairly decent size (for the NY area, anything you can move around in is a plus). The hotel is close to shopping, and food up and down the highway it is immediately off of.
The prices are inflated, but we ended up staying a week due to commitments in the city. Kelly the manager worked with me at the end of the stay, and she was nice and friendly.
But New Jersey and New York as a rule overcharge their properties across the board.
So I would rate it as an average medium not outstanding hotel.
But they take dogs. Important for us.

Room Tip: Try to face the back side, or pool side for quiet. The front faces the busy freeway in front.

Had trouble getting in through the side door.
No microwave in room as stated.
No side table on my side of the bed (just seemed to be missing, a big open space)
Rooms were loud and heard dogs barking all night.
And worst of all, when initially greeted, no smile or hello, bad custmer service skills. There is no reason for this. Even though some other things may not be able to be changed, this should always be a positive, even in New Jersey.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

If you are traveling to northern NJ and have a pet, this is the place to stay. Lots of grass to walk you pooch, with cleanup bags provided. The rooms are dated and slightly warn, but they have a nice breakfast and good house keeping. To be honest, I might not stay here if not for their pet friendliness.
Overall , a good value.

Hotel was ok. Not bad, not great. Price was Very good. Location is great, lots of stores, restaurants and things close by. Only problem I had was the smell coming from the bathroom when we checked in. We had to buy air freshner. It smelled like sewage water. I cant describe the smell but it was unpleasant. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful.

This motel is in major need of rennovations. It is dirty with rust in the bath tub. The carpets are dirty, ripped and smell. There was dried dog poop on the carpet in the room. Too many disturbing issues to list.
