Passport Cafe is by far the best place to sit, relax, and enjoy wonderful food in West Milford.
Whether its made to order or straight off the menu, the food is delicious and never disappoints.
Sitting in the dinning room looking out of the picture window at the small quaint airport you feel like you have been transported somewhere else in the world. Especially if you are fortunate enough to be there when the owner of the decommissioned MiG flies in for a bite to eat! You will find yourself totally relaxed as Tony or Cletus (the owners and Chefs) stop by your table to say hello and chat for a few.
The best!

OK - so there is an airplane attached to the building where you are eating! That just makes it better - an old Superconstellation aircraft from the early days of cross-Atlantic flight. And ... you can go up inside the airplane after your meal. But about your meal - it's really great, not just very good. The chefs are usually around somewhere, and they will come out and discuss the menu, their methods, and their optimism with you. The place is only open for breakfast and lunch, but you get to see the occasional plane land, and groups of fliers come to discuss flight plans. Really, the portions are enormous, the salads are huge, the soups are homemade and fabulous -- the food is way past what you would expect, there is a Sunday brunch to die for, and just try the meatloaf sandwich!

The simple but fabulous "Passport Cafe is at the Greenwood Lake airport in West Milford, NJ. Two chefs and one waitress combine to provide simple but super breakfasts and lunch--all "home made," from the sauces to the pastries/cakes. And, where else can you eat alongside Super Constellation F-BAZB? First flown in transatlantic passenger service in 1946.
Worth the detour for the setting (if you like planes and history) and for the wonderful food and friendly service (even if you don't like airplanes of history). Sundays feature an all you can eat brunch/they are closed on Mondays. And, yes, you can walk inside F-BAZB while you're there.
When we have friends or guests, this is where we take them from breakfas or lunch. They always say "wow" at the view and "yum" for the food.
