I recently stayed at the Westfield Inn. As I do every year with my mother. Alot of the staff has changed and not all for the better!! being as tho I was extending my stay I was being moved to another room the cleaning lady who was cleaning the room I was being moved to did not speak English which was not a problem at all she did not understand that it was my room she was cleaning and that I wished to put my stuff in the room. upon me speaking with her two more of the staff came. The one lady Dawn and another short lady who's name I could not tell you do to the fact she wore no name tag so I'm assuming she was the superior to these ladies. I explained I wanted to put my things in the room. The short woman told me she would have to check the room first she proceeded to do so while I went into my room which was a door down. I could hear her yelling on the phone to someone and when Dawn told her I was waiting she clearly stated that I could keep waiting. They finally came out the room and the lady told me that now even tho she had been advised that I was checking into the room I could not put my belongings into the room I now had to go to the front desk to get a key... great hospitality.. when I finally got into the room it was chilly for my mother. Dawn very nicely explained about the heat the other lady kind of chimed in not to concerned that it was cold for my elderly mother and seemed bothered by my request for heat. I've been a guest at this hotel for quite sometime but now I am questioning my return if they still have superiors on their staff who act like the guest don't matter and that their personal business should come first (talking on the phone in a room a guest was waiting for)... Thats not the last of it. A morning or so after that the same short lady came into the breakfast room and made a scene with the lady serving breakfast about something that happened in the breakfast room after she left you could clearly tell the poor lady servicing the area was very annoyed at the scene she caused. If this lady is a superior at this hotel first she should have a name badge so people know who they are speaking to as the rest of the staff and second she should clearly not be in the hospitality field because it seems as if she upsets the hotel more than help it. that is just my observation. So I may be looking for another place to stay if I have to deal with the UNprofessionalism of this new woman.
