I moved to the area earlier this year and have tried the pizza closest to my home. I wasn't impressed and haven't ordered pizza since. Based on the most recent review here, I thought I'd give Giovanni's a try. I'm from Brooklyn and am a bit fussy about pizza. :) I'm sure many people would disagree with my preferences but here's the bar that a set: Pizza should have a thin, crispy crust. It should be crisp enough that it doesn't flop over when you fold it to eat it. Sauce should not be sweet. It should taste like a savory Sunday sauce that Grandma had on the stove all afternoon. A pizza shouldn't be swimming in sauce - you should be able to taste it and not have any moving around on your slice. A great pizza has enough cheese to cover the slice and not so much that you choke on it. :) Giovanni's is quite good as local pizza goes.
