“Great Time on the Boards!!!!”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

I Have to hand it to the city and the Morey brothers!!! The boardwalk is clean, safe and family friendly. Love that the city added laws to ensure proper attire is worn after 6PM. You will also notice all the cameras on the light poles. The rides have always been fun but I have noticed well kept and friendly knowledgeable employees working them. This is by far a different Wildwoods from the 80's and 90s. Dont forget the free concerts all summer in Centennial park as well as visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall across the street from the convention center.

“Not what I loved aa a kid”

Wow, it's been a while since i walked this classic boardwalk, and it will be quite a while till I do it again. Meter parking near the boardwalk is $2 an hour. Can't believe the merchants like this. Wildwood has several amusement piers with great rides. The majority of the boardwalk stores are souvenir, t shirts, specialty foods and games. Strolling along, people watching is lots of fun One last thing - Watch the Tram Car, Please!.

“Nostalgic Afternoon”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

My friend and I visited Wildwood from our accommodations in Cape May and Cape May Point. We had both worked in the Wildwoods summers when we were in college, almost 50 years ago. Not much had changed on the boardwalk although both of the amusement piers seem to have been completely renovated. They are also much further from the ocean's edge. The sandy beaches have increased greatly in size. The ocean used to come under the piers!

We were delighted to see that Laura's Fudge, near the bus terminal, has not changed a bit in appearance.

At our ages, we did not hesitate to take the $3 tram for a trip up and back to the northern end of the boardwalk. Children were still in school, early June 2014, so the population was reduced, but still a bit rough, part of Wildwood's appeal.

“A lot to see and do”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

I liked the fact that it felt safe to walk on the boardwalk with a child even after sunset. I disliked the fact that the amusement parks were not open on weekdays.
