“Not To Be Missed!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

Riding the Silver Bullet has always been fun for me - I absolutely love this ride and you will, too!! If you enjoy boats and the ocean, speed and getting soaked (only in certain seats, folks!) then you want to do this! If you want to get wet, then you're advised to sit in the back, as that's considered the "splash zone" - up front, you'll catch some mist, but remain dry for the most part... We had Captain Eric at the help and First Mate John handling the sodas, waters and beers (the bar opens once you're away from the dock) there are also snacks and commemorative items at very decent prices! There is a bathroom below deck, as well. You will start our rather slow, as each boat is responsible for their own wake, which is a no-no for the first ten minutes or so....your patience will be paid off, however, once you're out on the Atlantic Ocean and you feel that ocean air in your face! You'll slow down out on the ocean, too, because it gives you the opportunity to dolphin watch - they like to play games in the boat's wake and they are so cool to see! When we took the ride this past week, we probably saw no less than 30 dolphins! Sometimes they get real close and it's just something you don't get to see every day.... Once you've cruised passed the beaches and Cape May Lighthouse and played with the dolphins, Captain Eric is going to ask who wants a "flume" ride! He pushes that motor up and you really get to see why it's called the Silver "Bullet"!! I was drenched with ocean water and loved every second of it, as the day was so hot! It really is a fun time, but informative, also... you'll learn about the various waterways and the dolphins, etc... There were a lot of little kids on the boat when we were on and they were just howling with laughter and excitement - the speed, the dolphins and even getting splashed!! If you've never taken this ride, please do - you won't regret it.

“Fun Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2013 via mobile

We were warned not to take any boat for whale or dolphin watch. But we glad that we did for this one. We saw lots of dolphin and they even followed the boat to play with us. On the way back, we got wet as promised by the captain. It was fun. Tips: bring a towel with u if u want to get wet but not stay wet after; bring some drinks, it can be really hot on the boat; bring some cash to tip the guy or buy stuff on boat: hat, towel, t- shirt, stuffed animal, you name it...

“Lots of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2013

I've been visiting Wildwood every summer for years and finally booked the Silver Bullet dolphin watching trip. It really is a must-do when you're in the Wildwood area. We booked the 9:30am tour because it can get pretty hot during the afternoon. And yes, it was hot by the time we returned at 11am. The crew advises you in advance about where to sit for the best photo ops, where not to get too wet, etc. But you have plenty of time to move around during the trip to maximize your enjoyment. We saw about a dozen dolphins right up against the site of the boat, leaping through the air and keeping close to us. The kids loved it, adults too. Parents, be advised: there are plenty of opportunities for you to be separated from your money. There are snacks and drinks for sale on board, plus shirts, towels, caps, whistles, stuffed animals, etc. Don't buy the first thing your kid sees, because there's more to come. On the plus side, tees are only $10, less than what you'd pay on the boardwalk. A fun time for sure.
