There's a reason this hotel has such great reviews.
Sandra (the owner) was extremely helpful from the moment I called to make our reservation. She told us that many of the families that visit have been staying with her come back every year, and I believe it. We'll definitely be back.
We just returned from a visit where a group of 11 of us (5 adults and 6 kids aged 3-7) rented three rooms - a 2 1/2 bedroom suite, an efficiency and a standard room. All three were just as described on the website. This is an older motel, as are almost all of the motels in the area (it's part of the charm), but the rooms were extremely well maintained and very clean. The kitchenettes were nicely stocked with utensils, a toaster, a coffee maker, pots and pans. The sunflower dishes were a nice touch.
If you've been to Wildwood, you know how long the boardwalk is. The Sunflower Motel is perfectly situated one block away, and right in the center.
The only way you would be disappointed in staying here is if you were expecting the Ritz. Then again, if you're expecting the Ritz, you're probably not vacationing in Wildwood.More
