After paying $350/night at check-in, the "Inn-keepers" said about my autistic nephew that they only allow "well behaved children." Would love to tell Bob what to do with those trains...

We booked a double room, but the room and the bed was so tiny that we had to upgrade to a bigger room for quite some extra money. The bigger room has the same tiny bathroom which makes it virtually impossible to move inside the shower. The air conditioner had a broken know. The breakfast (usually a highlight in a B&B) was served and contained most of the time canned fruits, very unusal in the summer season. The time for breakfast was restricted to 30 min (from 9 am to 9:30). Also unusal, it was forbidden to take the breakfast upstair (we had a need to do so, due to a business call). We also missed some typical breakfast like cerials and yoghurt. People who dont like cats should chose another one, because you can smell it easily.

Perfect getaway for my husband and I, first timers to Wildwood. The owners were attentive and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and very comfortable (we had a deluxe suite with King bed). Small bathroom, but it was private and big enough for us to shower in. We also met and spoke with some very nice guests staying at the B&B along with us. Sure the rooms may be smaller than expected, but it is an older home to begin with, you can only renovate so much. My husband and I would stay again and plan to. It is about 2 and 1/2 blocks to the boardwalk and you can walk to almost all the restauraunts and entertainment venues in the vicinity of Wildwood. Good comedy club at the corner as well. Good parking situation as well.

  • Liked — Very comfortable and homelike, great owners, great breakfasts
  • Disliked — Many stairs to climb (but not a big deal for us)

I have stayed in several Hotels and Motels on the Jersey Shore and I must say that this was one of if not the BEST of all of them.

From the moment that I arrived the owners were very nice and explained the rules of the house (very few) and where to park, Told us the breakfast hours and asked if we had any special needs.

While we were there we never heard a sound from any of the other guests in the house. We had the Honeymoon suite "C" it had a big comfortable bed with lots of pillows, a nice wall mounted LCD T.V. with a DVD and a VCR. It also had a fridge and a microwave which was a great thing for bottled water and stuff.

There was a great corner Jacuzzi with more than enough room for 2 people, it was very relaxing and almost put us to sleep. There was also a shower with great water pressure and lots of hot water.

The room was very clean and only 1 block away from Juan Pablo's one of the best Mexican places I have ever eaten in!

Over all I would give Holly Beach 6 stars if i could.

P.S. The cookies are the best..........

It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. I can honestly say that our experience was truly enjoyable. The owner, Cindy, treated us very nice and was genuine. Their breakfast was great. Althought, I could not enjoy the second day's breakfast due to some personal issues that caused us to leave early.

  • Liked — Cleanliness of room, and the genuine niceness of staff
  • Disliked — Musty smell in my suite.

I booked this place for a soccer tournament to stay 1 nihgt with my son more than a month in advance. The owner first agreed for 1 night but later said that normally there is 2 night minimum for this weekend. She charged my credit card for full amount and confirmed 1 night stay via e-mail. One night prior to our arrival she called and cancelled because (she claims) she overbooked and has to give priority to people with 2 -3 night stay. I have never seen such unprofessional people in my life. THe call came @ 6PM and we had to depart at 5AM next morning. I could not find anything at all that was reasonable and had to pay $600 for 2 nights. Be carefeull with this place, you may get thrown out just like I did if the can get people to stay 1 night longer.

It was an unfortunate situation that we overbooked on the weekend this guest was to arrive. We have honored many, many single nights. This situation left us able only to accommodate all quest arriving the night before. Guest that were already in transit and could not be reached. I offered to try and find placement for this guest, but was refused. Please be assured this is not the normal for our establishment.

This was the first time that my boyfriend and I stayed at a B&B and it was terrible. Our room was nothing like the pictures, it was very tiny and the shower was so small it was very uncomfortable. We also never had enough towels. The knobs were broken off of our air conditioning window unit, making it hard to cool down our room when it was very hot.

The owners only had two times for breakfast, 8 am and 10 am, on vacation we like to sleep in a little and be on the beach by 10. So we missed breakfast and the owner's husband proceeded to yell at us in front of other guests and embarrased us. He also kept suggesting places to go eat or things to do and was very pushy about it and we did not appreciate it or him being rude multiple times. We were there to celebrate our Anniversary and we could not wait to go home after staying at this Inn. It was terrible. It was close to the beach that was the only plus to this place.

  • Liked — It was close to the beach
  • Disliked — How incredibly rude the owner's husband was

The guest stated that this was their first time at a BB. Most properties that are more than 100 years old will have small unit with small bathrooms. We installed two room suites to help accommodate guest who need more room. The cost of course is higher and some guest prefer not to upgrade. We have a reliable staff for housekeeping and if some reason can not get into the unit to clean, our office is open from 10:00 to 9:00 for any assistance that is need to assure of guest comfort and relaxation. Our maintenance department did not know until the next day that the air conditioner knob needed replacement. It was done immediately. We were pleased to changed our breakfast seating times. Our guest now can conveniently stroll down for breakfast anytime between 8:30 and 10:00 am. It is our pleasure to assist our guest with plans, reservations, directions, anything they might need to make their stay enjoyable.
