Went on their “Back to the 50’s” Doo Wop tour on 8/9/2011. Cost was $12.00 per person. We were taken on a school bus ride with “Tony” Anthony Fonzarelli, as the guide. He had a portable Public Announcement System on the bus and talked non-stop about various motels, buildings, lights, etc along the entire route that extended from North Wildwood all the way down thru Wildwood Crest. You don’t realize what you are looking at as you drive around until you go on this tour. It will give you a totally different view of that the Wildwoods are all about. Highly recommended!!! Tony the guide was very funny, with a great sense of humor, and you could tell that he really loves what he is doing. He even sings some of the old Doo Wop songs as you go through the tour. The building where you go to catch the bus is decorated in the 50’s style too. The old type of couches, coffee tables, melamine dishes, poodle skirts, etc. were there to bring back memories. There was a large computerized mural there that is interactive and lets you see videos and read about the 50’s. Most of the buildings in town, even the drug store, grocery store and Laundromat are “doo wopped”. You will see and learn so many things that you would never notice if you just drove through town on your own. A “must do” when in Wildwood.
