“Looking forward to a return visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

We stumbled across this restaurant in Wildwood after finding our favorite French Bistro had closed. We come to Wildwood for the hurdy-gurdy and doo-wop feel, so we don't expect much in the way of fine dining. One Fish, Two Fish, really surprised us. Nice decor, very competent and accommodating staff and really well prepared, imaginative dishes. I'm definitely looking forward a return visit. I hope it wasn't a fluke. (Oh look a fish pun.)

P.S. A prime example of their service, was that we didn't realize it was byob and they offered send someone down the street to a local liquor store and buy us a couple beers! Now that, was impressive.

“Almost everything hit the mark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

A party of 23 + of us attacked this restaurant last week , and by my polling most people there was not one complaint about the food . Tough to judge a kitchen that is swamped with a mob in such
A small restaurant ( maybe 50 seat total ) but they did a very good job of food preparation and
service

Only complaint was cold mashed potatoes , and as soon as we mentioned it they gave us two large plates of hit creamy mashed without question.

My swordfish was really thick and juicy , and looking at the Salmon and short rib plates they were a nice size and everyone finished all their food . A nephew ordered the pork butt appetizer and
was VER pleased with it

Would go back , preferably in a smaller party to make things easier for kitchen.

“varied menu, small place but nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

Came here for a family dinner on Saturday, Aug. 2. 4 adults and a child at 5:30pm. No one else was in the place but they asked if we had reservations :>(( We said no but, asked if all the tables were reserved already. The waiter said there were reservations for 6pm, 6:30pm and 7pm so they "couldn't give up the tables already reserved". We thought it was strange but we assured them, we just wanted to have a nice dinner and we'd be out within 1 hour for sure. We were seated and given menus and told what the specials of the night were. Everyone in our group
chose something different. I ordered the sliced duck breast over couscous & roasted spinach.
Others ordered the summer squash soup with crab; pan seared scallops over risotto & asparagus; broiled stuffed shrimp and the fish special of the day.
Everyone enjoyed their food but it took a while to come to the table. We were told everything was prepared to order, so it was worth the wait. The only slight disappointment was in the duck as the skin was not crispy - BUT the duck and sides were delicious. We all tasted a bit from one another's plates and both the soup and the scallops were our very favorite. We were done and out by 6:45pm.

“Party of 25 People”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

I called in afternoon for 5:30 reservations for 25 people. We basically took up entire restaurant other than another table of 4 people. The staff was very accommodating and the food was very good even for such a large group. It did take a long time for food to arrive to table but it is understandable being the dining room is so small I would guess the kitchen is not large enough to push out the entire dining room at one time. Everyone really liked their food which I feel is an accomplishment when you have 25 people a majority of them from Manhattan all who spend most nights eating out. I will be returning next year!

“A new favorite!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Great little BYOB! We had heard very good things about this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We started with the mussels and tomato stack, which were both fabulous. The scallop and risotto entrée was wonderful, as were my husband's short ribs. Service was friendly and attentive. Be sure to make reservations, as the space is small.
