If you want to have a real vacation and be at a real Paradise then you have to stayat the PARADISE. The name says it all. The rooms were always clean, th outside was gorgeous, and the staff and owners were very frienly. Not to mention the gigantic pool that they have. My family and I loved it and we will be back next year.

We ( and by " we ", I mean forty people / ten rooms ) have just experinced our third year consecutive year at Paradise Inn Ocean Resort. Could you be any closer to the beach ? NO, you can't !!! You are there. The view is truly breathtaking. You have the Atlantic Ocean practically a few steps away from you. A beautiful, well maintained beach with enough room for everyone to enjoy. If you don't feel like " going to the beach ", you have a heated pool that has the sun on it all day until it sets. The great thing about this motel is that you can have your kids play in the sand because IT'S RIGHT ON THE BEACH. There is a deck that has spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean as far as you can see and of the amusement piers in Wildwood. You've heard of the term, " A Room With A View " ? The Paradise Inn has MULTIPLE ROOMS with ocean views and ocean front views. And not just any view !!! Gorgeous views. Under the deck, the Paradise Inn supplies you with three gigantic picnic tables AND two large grills for your barbecuing pleasure. When you stay at this motel, you DO NOT have to cross ANY streets to get to the beach. A great safety feature when you have children. There is virtually no traffic anyway because there is no croos street.
I / we have stayed at many motels in the Wildwood area over the years. And many of the motels watch your every move, making your stay sometimes uncomfortable. The Paradise Inn Ocean Resort is a friendly motel. A very relaxing atmosphere.
I love it. I look forward to going on vacation every year at this motel. I carry the Paradise Inn Ocean Resort business card in my wallet because it has a picture of the motel on it and the picture is taken from the beach. It makes me smile because of all the great memories I had and will be having in the near future.

We've been going to Wildwood Crest for years, stayed at the Town and Country for most of them until its demolition 4 years ago,so the search began for a new motel we could feel as comfortable at as we did at the Town and Country,The T&C was old,so we weren't looking for luxury, just clean with a nice sized pool, 2006 we decided to up the bar a notch and stay directly on the beach,Paradise looked like just what we were looking for, oceanfront sundeck, BBQ grill, nice sized pool, and Paradise was all of that, rooms were clean, only problem the pool was ice cold, not cold like when you first inch your way in and after a few minutes, your body acclimates to the chill, it felt like ice cubes going in and still felt like ice cubes 20 mins later,. my family and i were there for 7 nights, i went into the pool for half an hour, couldn't take it any more,my husband, after my reaction, didn't go in at all and my teenage son was in for ten minutes,so as much as we liked the motel,we were very dissapointed about the pool and for that reason alone, would not go back.

  • Liked — sunrise on the oceanfront sundeck
  • Disliked — ice cold pool

We stayed at the Paradise this past month. We had a room on the first floor poolside and we were totally diappointed/disgusted. The room smelled of mold and mildew and the carpet was all wet. The air conditioner leaked and the room was so damp that our clothes were wet when we woke up. Including the ones we placed in the drawers.
The refrigerator seems like it will break any second.
The furniture stained my shirt. I place my damp shirt on it to dry and the paint came off of the chair. My shirt is ruined. They spray paint the chairs and the mold on the seats cannot be cleaned.

The pool does not have nearly enough chairs. In fact there was a group of about thirty or fourty people and they took over the entire motel. We could not grill or enjoy the pool most days they were there and not at the beach. In fact my little one 2 years old -could not go in the kiddie pool because the adults were drinking and sitting in and around the kiddie pool with their cocktails. They left an absolute mess.

It seems that most rooms need updating and new carpets. Perhaps tiles would alleviate the problems with the moldy smelling carpets.

Too bad because the staff seemed nice enough and the rooms had space and the location is great.

We have just returned from a 7-night stay at the Paradise Inn and were EXTREMELY disappointed!!!!!!!!. This was the 3rd year spent there and the condition of the hotel has steadily deteriorated. The rooms are in desperate need of a remodel. The couches are made of rattan and are so old that they are separating at the sides, so the hotel used multiple screws to repair them… most of which are sticking out. The carpets are old and stained, the furniture and kitchenettes are old, beds are like sleeping on rocks, fridges are too small and didn’t stay cold. The exterior of the hotel is not much better with cloudy pool water, dirty balconies, and sundeck furniture being held up with cinderblocks. There is a waterspout (not shower) for washing sand off of feet and beach stuff that smells like a septic tank. This hotel is very expensive for such poor condition, and to make it even worse…. the owner has a two-story multi-million dollar palace built right on top of the hotel. Made us think he is looking down at his customers and laughing. We took the time to look at other hotels within a few blocks of the Paradise Inn and found really nice accommodations. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

  • Liked — Beach Front Location
  • Disliked — Poor quality and cleanliness of interior & exterior of hotel.

My husband and I go back to the Paradise every year, sometimes twice a year!! If we go during the same week year in and year out, we see the same couples on the sun deck playing cards, backgammon, sunning, swimming and funning (always with big smiles and hello,s for everyone). We always plan on going out for dinner, but cannot find anywhere on the island with a comparable view, so we grill steaks and shrimp poolside,, while watching the ocean and the incredible purple, pink and blues of the setting sun. At night time, the moon sparkles over the ocean with a thousand glimmering lights. It's absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully relaxing. My husband is not a big beach fan, BUT, while he is on the balcony of our ocean front room, reading his paper or doing his puzzles, I lay on the beach right below. Needless to say, my drink is but a "hand off" a way :) The beach is huge and we love to walk the shoreline together. DId I mention the Dolphin's, you can see them most mornings at 10:00!!! And the Ocean is great for swimming!!

  • Liked — Being right on the beach!!!
  • Disliked — Getting sand between my toes!!! (they have a foot shower as you get off the beach YAY!)

This was more than false advertising. We paid 200 dollars per night for this hotel and nothing that was on their website was true. It bragged of full size refrigerators, but ours was tiny and not plugged in or cold at our arrival. There is no waterfall in the pool, the heated pool was freezing and their jacuzzi is a 2ft deep kiddie pool with one jet! The "private" balcony really means you share it with the entire floor (or resort if you are on the bottom).

The resort featured no amentities other than air conditioning that could turn you into an ice cube even at the lowest setting. There was no hair dryer, alarm clock, shampoo, and their parking lot was full if you stayed out later than midnight. We blame ourselves for booking short notice, but under no circumstances is this resort worth the money!!!!!
