A fantastic campsite with great ablutions and sites that are well shaded. Game viewing in great and the new Cattle Baron restaurant is nicely understated in a national park but quality food. Sites are laid with stones and divided by spekboom bush giving that better privacy.

You definitely have a very good chance of seeing elephants. We saw them every day we were there and even on one day, saw a herd of at least 70 elephants together - definitely a sight to see.
Accommodation was ideal and more than I was expecting. Very comfortable and spacious with a balcony overlooking the grounds. the swimming pool was an added bonus after driving most of the day around the park in very hot conditions.
Dinner in the restaurant was ok, not a lot on the menu to choose from (4 main courses), so recommend making the most of the BBQ's that come with each cabin. Make sure you bring food with you, although the shop does contain basic supplies including coal/logs for BBQ.
Only did self drive and saw everything we wanted to, without having to pay for guided tours.

For a **stars lodging the small houses are furnished very well. The view of our terrace was miraculous, we could see from there even Kudus. In the kitchen everything is available what good breakfast or dinner is required. Parking bay directly before the door. Up to the water hole, the restaurant, the shop and the Meetingpoint for the Safaris these are only a few minutes on foot.

We stayed for two nights at Addo in a Rondavel which overlooked the floodlit waterhole and we loved it. The Rondavel had everything you needed for a short stay (including your own fridge) clean and comfortable would recommend. The communal kitchen was well equipped with locked cupboards for your provisions. We were impressed by this restcamp as it was our first visit to Sanparks it exceeded our excpectations. We didn't use the restaurant as we self catered and didn't use the pool as we were so busy so can't comment on these two . The park is well maintained and saw lots of animals. For our first visit it was excellent.

We have stayed for two nights in the Addo Nation Park. The Park ist okay, if it will be the first time, that somebody will do a safari. It has many tourists there. Also the landscape is a little bit boring. It has much better Nation Parks in South Africa like the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park, Ithala Game Reserve or the Mountain Zebra Nation Park not so far away from Addo. In the Park we stayed in a Rondoval with view to the waterhole. Unfortunately on the waterhole have not been a lot of animals. The restaurant of the camp was okay, nothing special. On the second evening it was a little mess. Some of the meals were not available, the cock for beer was out of ordner and our resevation for a special table didn't worked well. Probably it would be a better decision to stay in a private lodge or so outside ot the park.

The Addo Elephant park offers to drive through with your own car which is a lot of fun to discover the animals on your own. We spent our night in a cottage and the roof is made out of reet - this might be the reason for the very unpleasant smell. It was extreme and we figured out that there was an air-refresher which had an even worst smell.
The food was very poor - it was the worst meal druing our 14-days stay in SA.

Room Tip: Next time we would definitely prefer an accommodation outside of Addo.

Our property was beautiful, well maintained, nice and clean, lovely round building with thatched roof and small veranda overlooking a floodlit waterhole and set in a large lawned area with BBQ facilties.
There was a shared kitchen area with locked cupboards for each of the 6 rondavels for pots and crockery ect. Again everything very clean.
We thought it was great, saw a few elephants and a variety of 'grazing' animals at the waterhole.
The restaurant here was really good, food excellent and cheap prices too, about £5 for a main course such as venison hot pot. Drinks cheap too.
The reserve opened at 6am until 6pm and you could go in and out as you pleased with your pass.
Loved it. Highly recommend staying in a rondavel.
