Ok this place is a must visit- booking in December is essential or you won't be seated. The fresh bread and jam is a winner whilst you wait for your fish or seafood to be prepared. Depending on where you are seated- it can be very hot. They prepare the food on open fire/grill and if you are seated too close it can be a bit uncomfortable. I love kicking off my shoes and tucking my feet in the sand- great view- can be a bit windy though. The plates and mugs are cute and ensure no glass shards in the sand- a safety plus. With the exchange rate- the food is well priced. For locals I would think it's expensive.

Had a great meal, best views, child friendly - and something completely different from the norm. Must visit when in JBay

Walskipper is right on the beach. The waves crash in front of you and the beach sand is soft underfoot. The restaurant is rustic and 'different' and certainly counts as an experience.

If the weather is good [watch out for that wind though], there can surely be very few restaurants with a better location.

The menu is mainly seafood, not to mention the freshly made bread and jam to get you in the eating mood. The food is really good, although with the plates / platters so big it does go cold quite quickly - they should consider plate warmers on the table.

Service too is very good.

Consider walking there on the beach from Jeffrey's Bay [1.5kms] - only in daylight hours though as apparently it can be dangerous at night.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area but make sure you book in high season / on weekends.

The beach restaurant has a nice setting but mostly impresses me is the valuable seafood platter that comes with 2 huge pieces of abalone, lobster... And all that cost only about €40. Keep in mind that the meat platter is enormous which can be shared easily with 4 ppl., not just 2 like the waiter said.

Í tried to go there on a Sunday and they didn´t let me in. No kidding, it was 3:01 PM and I was informed I won´t get seated because they´d close at 3:00 PM.
