My husband and I spent a quiet mid-week break here and we enjoyed every minute of it
The guest house was designed for the guest's comfort and convenience. We stayed in an upstairs, sea-facing room, which had the added bonus of a verandah, as well as the communal lounge . A plus is that guests could use the fridge in the lounge - ideal for keeping the milk that we bought as we didn't like the UHT sachets of milk on the hospitality tray.
The staff were hepful, friendly and unobtrusive. The breakfasts were really special.
I noticed that previous reviewers of this guest house on Tripadvisor mentioned that hairdryers were not supplied in the bedrooms, but I was pleased to see that we had a hair
Dryer, but it was stored in a little black bag in the bathroom cabinet.
There were only 4 hangers in the cupboard and that presented us with a few problems. I also felt that the bath towels were too small and we had to use one of the hand towels as a bathmat.
Other than that, we were very comfortable and would gladly return in the future.

Room Tip: Beautiful views from the upstairs, sea-facing bedrooms

My husband and I stayed two nights recently and loved it. Good sized rooms, well decorated, great breakfast, views, and service. They even did our laundry. Can't beat the value for money and the attention to detail.

My husband and I Stayed in room 1 for our honeymoon!! Everything at Stone Olive is just beautiful!

On arrival a very friendly lady, Leonie checked us in and show us to our room were she left us a romantic turn down (champagne on ice) with rose pedals on our bed, which made our stay just more special!

The breakfast each morning was magnificent!!

The only thing...It would be nice having a fridge in the room and also more TV channels!

Thank you Leonie for making our stay so special!!

My brother and I were welcomed with open arms even though we arrived late and the lovely lady couldn't do enough to make us have the perfect stay. We were so late we didn't have any wine to toast our first evening in SA so Marieke actually gave us a bottle from her own cupboard. Kind and generous. The chef there is SUPERB and I wanted to take her back to the UK to cook for me permanently after tasting her amazing breakfast! Great view, luxurious, clean and comfy, relaxing - perfect! Thank you for an amazing stay!

A very comfortable guest house. Great breakfast. Clean & comfortable rooms.

A few little irritations worth highlighting -

had 6 local TV channels to choose from - two of which were fuzzy. Not that we intended to watch TV, but it's nice to have the option to watch international news or catch a decent movie or sports event

parking a little tight

pool area was sometimes too busy (not with guests, but with owner's family & friends)

Room Tip: Get one of the upstairs rooms overlooking the sea - note that the 2 rooms there share a long balcony...

We travel a lot and although we read reviews -and always check dates of reviews are up to date we have been disappointed once checked in! NOT with this choice! From the time of doing an enquiry at about 22.00 Leoni the owner was on the ball! By the time I went to bed I had a confirmation!
On arrival Geraldine, her assistant, was super-efficient even making us a pot of fresh coffee and serving us on the balcony. The room is well appointed and very comfortable. I travelled and stayed in guesthouses for 15 days a month for work and have NEVER been offered that!

The bed is as good as home....this is a first as either terrible beds or Cloud Nine which lasts but hard!

We had two wine glasses available on a lovely tray. Next door is a communal lounge and fridge available for use of the three rooms upstairs. A balcony with a view of the sea runs the whole length of the house. A bottle of water is provided free of charge.

Breakfast is definitely above average. From freshly cut fruit ... Cereals..muffins, flapjacks,. Preserved figs other fresh jams, full breakfast.

The measure is would we return...absolutely 150%

Lovely place, thank you

Room Tip: Sea facing a must!

Stayed at Stone Olive for 3 nights - what a beautiful property - exquisitely appointed - linen and bathrooms exceptional - guest amenities top end and service outstanding - safe - secure - spotless & peaceful - even the television channels are clear - very unusual in most establishments :) highly recommended - no need to 'have' to be 'down' the road - extremely comfortable - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - and will recommend enthusiastically !

Room Tip: small thing - but if you are staying longer than one night - ask for a room/suite with a little more...
