“tapas makes it to j-bay”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

An impromptu visit for brunch to this new cafe/bar/restaurant in J-Bay ended up in a marathon 4-hour feeding fest.... gorgeous tapas, the best chicken liver pate this side of the equator, to-die-for patagonian grilled calamari.... the list goes on! Hope that J-Bay's residents and holiday-makers appreciate this new little foodie gem on their menu. Well done to the E-Street gang!!

“Pleasantly surprised by the good food.”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

Our first visit to this rather new establishment was awarded by good food and service. Well trained staff, managment who gets involved. Fresh, well prepared food far above average. They deserve to be tried and tested. We truly enjoyed it and the food. What about adding a "Banting" section to your menu. You guys will be able to handle it best in J'Bay and it could bring even more support.

“New kid-on-the-block deserves local support”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This recently opened restaurant, bar, and coffee bar, is well appointed, has an attractive decor, pleasant lounge corner and colourfully lit bar area. We first dropped in for a coffee after an evening meal at another restaurant. The corner lounge area was very appealing. The staff were pleasant and attentive. My Irish coffee was something of a disappointment as the cream was 'squirty stuff' from a can. friends of ours were at a table finishing their meal - they told me the meal was reasonable, but that E-street needed to find its true identity - was it a bar, or a coffee shop, or a restaurant? With other friends we went for an evening meal two nights later. Very attentive head waiter - very personable and attentive waitress. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food from a reasonably varied menu. My pork ribs were delicious, but I would have preferred the chips to have been given a little more colour and been a little crisper. We retired to the lounge corner for our sweets (and my irish coffee). All were delicious and my complaints about the previous cream topping were noted and this time the head waiter himself made and delivered it with real cream. We were disappointed that we were the only table that evening, so there was no 'vibe' - they deserve more support as they are selecting the best staff for kitchen and front of house and it is a quality of service, food and decor we badly need in Jeffreys bay
